View Full Version : RT Download Defect?
5 August 06, 18:32
I try to download the Alpine 1300S and Alpine 1600S for RT by Roger, but the 1300S V1.06 and the 1600S V1.00 don't work. Download the updates to V1.07 (1300) and V1.01 (1600) is working. If I understand it right I need the previous versions to make the cars going, or? So is it me, my computer/internet or is it simply defect...?:
didnt someone have this problem before and the updates got updated to full versions ?
I should be able to help, but I can't - hope you don't think I'm being rude. I cannot remember now and don't have that stuff on my PC.
Either way, the 1300S was not RealMod compatible (although it would be easy to sort out). I'm pretty sure the 1600S was not compatible either.
I'll look and see if the old files are here somewhere

...maybe a little misunderstanding? the update-download works, not the update. the files have only 3 kb, so I think I need the previous versions too.
Thanks for searching the files. :)

...I know that this cars are not RealMod compatible, but I have fun to try all the cars made for RT.
:( Sadly there are many RT cars not RealMod compatible and most of the creators were not here for a long time, so no chance for change... :(

The Alpines you mentioned are not complete cars - the files contain only physics. They have different weights, some different settings in suspension and mainly different engines. But they use the original RT-Alpine as a 3d-model and textures, the only change are the related carspecifications. So it is reasonable, that the files are only about 3kb.
Hope this helps, to clear up the situation.

thanks Ralph, but in the "read-me" files stand that you need the previous versions for the updates.

Ah, I see! Have checked myself and have to agree, the download of the previos versions don't work. But it isn't such important. For the 1300 it is only a red colored version of the original Alp (replaces the Standart-version I assume) with a altered physic. You can also test the updated physic by applying it to the original car. But I don't think, you're missing to much, if you know the physics of the TT-mod. The TT-physics is only a consequent evolution of this file and specially for the Alp again made by Roger.
For the 1600S in the older file is a additional soundfile added to the physics, but as said, no complete car. I think, you can also apply the updated file directly to the original car. Then you have the stronger 1800cc engine. Of course the new sound is missing then, but perhaps you can find it seperately in the soundsection.
Haven't tested it directly now, just from my memory. So please prove yourself, into which originalcar each file installs and make a backup before applying the patches.
