Will not install!

Any of the stand alone cars that I've tried to install be the authors, "Kris" or Ytanguy" will not install. Which is really too bad because they look great! They show up in the small window of the "Car Dealer" but when I click to the "Show Room", nothing shows up> Any ideas as to how I might solve this problem?

If you have a problem with every car, are you sure that you have instal correctly the files ?

I believe they are installed correctly. All of the other stand alone cars I have installed work just fine. I would like toi gfet this figured out, your cra look great!

I downloaded all three of YTANGUY's Porsche 911's several hours ago that were posted in the past 24 hours or thereabouts (nice stuff, BTW, YTANGUY!), and since the folders containing the car files were a bit long with text, I opened each folder to see what most of the files were named, then renamed the folder to match.

For instance, his #43 Porsche folder was renamed (by me) to 'MRA43'. Why'd I do that? From experience using other operating systems, file names too long can cause problems, but not necessarily. I prefer folder names in sims to be as short as possible just to avoid problems. But, obviously, you can create problems doing that, too....lol.

You might try re-naming with just one file folder; see what happens...no idea why it would show up as an icon but not in the showroom proper. Strange.

By the way - ALL of 'kris' and 'YTANGUY' cars I've downloaded load in-game just peachy-keen for me. I'm running XP Pro.

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree, it is strange, but everything I have tried to install by this author, will not show up in "The Showroom"
