Hello!

OK, probably noob questions...

how do I map statements to a keypress for online racing, i.e. "sorry" and "no problem" etc.

When racing either on or offline I never get a cut corner warning, any ideas why and any ideas on how to get this working?

When pitting the car is always into the pits under computer control is this normal? I.e will I ever have to brake before the pitlane marker and engage the limiter?

As a side issue to this with the upcoming spa league race in mind, where does the pitlane officially end, I see offline AI cars speed up before the hill on pit exit but I don't see a line, I would have thought the official exit is the line on the circuit on the right hand side of the road well after eue rouge.

Any general benchmark times for this race? I'm getting 3mins in the 911 after 1 evening's practice. I see the hotlap is about 2.40. Can I assume most people are between these times?

cheers for any help

You can map buttons to say sorry etc. under the options menu. From memory - controller options, I think it is the last option tab you can use (game options or extras or something) - choose keys for chat 1, chat 2 etc.

Elsewhere you can enter the text for these chat options (also is in the "Your-Player-Name".PLR file - scan down and you will see the list)

Autopit is also in the "Your-Player-Name".PLR file (the file is located in the ...\GTL\UserData\"your-player-name" folder)

So far, the pit lane exit line has always been with the lights at the pit exit - so, at Spa right at the end of the wall before going up hill

As for corner cuts, probably down to whether you have chosen the right flag rules options (just guessing....:D)

Spa times - don't know, but don't worry there's a good mix of times

I'll add a clarification about in-game chat.

(I could be wrong about this, but I know my approach works)

Getting chat to work from controller buttons, as compared to keyboard is a two-step process:

1. Within GTL you map your chat-lines to keys 1 through 0. GTL expects you to type Alt+1, Alt+2

2. Outside GTL you use a utility that may or may not have been supplied with your steering wheel (eg "Profiler" for Logitech Momo wheel) then map buttons on the wheel to the keystroke GTL is expecting, eg "Alt-1"

TIP: Logitech Profiler has an option to turn a button into a shift key which almost doubles the number of options you have.

TIP2: Write it all down on paper. To begin with it's too much to remember. Eventually you just remember like "Shift top-left button is 'Pit Out'" or "Shift left-paddle is 'pass on left'"
