A1 Ring for GTR 2 released!

Well as it was me first track conversion for GTL I thoughd it would be nice to have it in GTR 2. I fixed a lot of stuf. Like the black patches wich ocured soemtimes. Also Thunderchild did his magic with the textures again.

About the track:
The A-1 Ring is an updated and re-designed version of the famous Österreichring. Located in the green uplands of the province of Styria, a triangular area of Austria, bounded by the cities of Vienna, Salzburg and Graz.

The track is full DX9 compatible, with complete multitexturing and lighting. Rainreflections and animated objects are added to the track.

Instalation:

Just extract the rar to ur GTR2\GameData\Locations folder and start up GTR 2 to play it.

Uhm - I hate to start an argument about something as silly as file hosting.. but

This is the current status of FileFront - and even on "good days" they are slow and irritating to use.

So back on the subject of a Mirror Host - which is uhm.. just that - a Mirror of the same files hosted in a number of places to allow people to easily get to the content.

I like you guys tracks and really enjoy driving them - but in the last 2 weeks it has becomje a hassle and irritation to download them from that crappy FileFront service you guys use.

It is kind of odd that you would not want to have the files Mirrored on a reliable fast webforum/site dedicated to the game and your content.

But you are free to do what you want - I will just wait for someone esle to let me have a copy of your latest track because I am tired of using FileFront.

It sucks.

no one said other ppl cant mirror it but thats up to those sites (like no-grip:) ..i thought thats what happened here anyway as most of our stuff is mirrored here and we didnt upload it to here and thats gr8)...filefront is very fast for me i get 500kb/sec most times and so do my m8s :)

No one is arguing about the download speed - it is the problem of getting in the queue of such a "free file service" and then actually getting the download to start.

Look - you are free to do as you want, but I am just lettign you know that as a "supported" of your work, FiloeFront is a pain int he arse to use.. and is a hassle.

You might want to look at an easier primary storage site - if you donty want to - more power to you.

Its real simple - I tried for a half hour solid to get on the download queue and couldn't - so I gave up.

I guarentee you I am not the only person experiencing this or feeling this way - but as I say - you are the boss, so do what ever you want.

The suggestion was just to not have your primary storage such a "free pain in the arse" service, and make better use of folks such as No-Grip.

Well if No Grip wants to mirror it there freee to download it from Filesfront and make a mirror here. Up to them. They did the same with Caruaru.

I guess something is being lost in the translation from English - because what I am desperately trying to explain is that your choice of primary file storage is a pain to use, and why not simply try using a pimary storage source that was less of a hassle for your users / fans / followers / groupies / customers.

Bah - forget it.
