Hello folks. New here, so I hate to start out with a whine post, but GTR2 is not running stable on my system at all. I have a fairly high end rig built for flight simming and it runs other difficult games with ease.

3 gig hyperthreading P4 800fsb.

Nvidia 6800GT 256

Asus IC7 mobo running in dual channel with 2 gigs of Mushkin Level 1 Black PC 3200ram.

Sound Blaster Audigy 2.

etc...

I have set the graphics to the lowest settings in game to no avail. The game will run about 10 to 15 minutes, then the computer locks up totally, and the only way out is to shut down with the power switch.

Any ideas?

I sure hope I didn't just buy a $20 set of coasters...

A pity, as it is a very good simulation.

if it is running fine for 10-15 minutes and then crashes, I would first look into your temps on the video cards and cpu. Sounds heat related, if all other is fine.

to add to what Bill said if you are overclocking at all try running at stock settings and see if that helps :)

Well ISI engine is very good as far as system stability testing goes.

Bad OC = system crash

Bad Ram =system crash
