Here you can share setups, discuss your lap times etc etc etc...

I just did some laps today and only managed a 1:33.1 however that was after I got my beta stage setup going, still needs some tweaks.

I figure a 1:32.4 is a very fast lap, but with the competition on no-grip Id say its going to be down to 1:30.xxx by race time :P

I'm not a big fan of the 360, and I know Ill go faster in the RSR, but since I already got a setup going I guess I'll stick to the 360.

I did a 1:32.1 with the default setup in RSR, only basic setup changes (don't have the time and expertise to play with the advanced suspension settings yet), like max rev limit, radiator opening on 2, gearbox adjustment and low fuel capacity.
My worry with the RSR is the rear tire wear during the race, don't know yet if I'll survive :) without a pitstop in the 45 min race.

How are you running a 32 on the default setup. Impressive

Your worry with the RSR is that it's not NGT '03. It's '04. ;)

I just don't know :). But it took me about 30 minutes to get to that time.
I guess it's just the fact that I adapt to others' setup better instead of making a setup to suit my style. And maybe the fact the default setups in GTR2 are not that bad, if you manage to avoid the inherent understeer.

But don't be fooled, the race is what matters :)

I hope I just misspelled the name (always confusing RS and RSR) :), because I remember I selected the 03 NGTs at the class section.

Manged a 1.32.8

But I think I have an idea of the fast line now.

SFDMALEX

Haven't got much N-GT/Doni practice in. :o Only just got my wheel working again so I've been getting used to that and the game again.

I'll post some lap times tomorrow when I get chance to practice.

only in the high 33's, but still tweaking.....and on med slicks

out of curiosity.....you guys think that soft's will last for a no-fuel run, or a better idea to go with the mediums?

If your very gentle you might get soft fronts to last but I'm pretty sure the rears won't last full distance if they're soft.

First hotlap in the 360 I got a 1:33.9 - Now to tweak the setup and shave off those seconds!

I'm looking forward to the 1st race tomorrow. I hope we don't have any "wreckers" hidden among us.

32.6 last night in the RS.

I can't snap under a 35, i dont know what it is. I feel like i'm on the knife edge everywhere. Maybe one of you guys can post your set up after tomorrow :D
I know for a fact that I could be quicker in sector two but no 2 seconds quick :-/

Fletch
19 October 06, 20:28
I'm not too quick at Doni :o If you mess one corner up, you've messed the next 3 up. By mess up I mean something as little as locking a wheel, braking too early or running a tad wide. Well tbh that's the same at every track. :p

So, I'm not expecting to qualify too close to the front tomorrow but I know I'll do better in the race. For some reason I'm alot faster when there's someone in front of me.

I can manage a 1:32.7 in the Ferrari, but it's right on the limit the whole time and is very tiring after a few laps. In comparison, a 1:32.1 in the Porsche feels very easy and repeatable.

1:32.013 in the RS today.

Was a very good lap I would say, could be better. I say at least half a second in that time.

And good job Joel, I cant do 1.32.1 consintantly thats for sure.

Mind sharing your setup?

I've managed a couple of high 1:34s, but am tending to be 1:36/37. 1:32s astound me! :)

Good Stuff Dan  I only managed a 33.8 in the 360. I feel comfortable with the setup and it's pretty stable, just a tad of understeer, but, I just can't get those really quick lap times! I feel I'm slowest at Redgate and the 2 hairpins but not 1.3 seconds.:

Oh well, practice makes perfect... so they say.
