Well, hello then! My name is Peter, I'm from Germany, 22 years old (today's my birthday :P) and I love all kind of racing sims. At the moment I'm mainly playing GTL, sometimes also RBR.

I really like this internet site, seems very much grown up, yet not too "serious". Some leagues take themselves so seriously, joining there is a bit like joining the military... :D

Having been a real RWD-enthusiast for my whole previous life (1st real car was a Ford Sierra), I'm becoming some kind of FWD nutter now. Which is weird enough!

After I had brought myself an Escort RS Turbo in real life, I used to try the Mini Cooper in GTL more often. And you know what? I fell in love with it! Are there any more people here who are becoming a bit tired of the whole drifting thing (honestly, the whole "fast and the furious"-crap has made it overrated now) and are now becoming torquesteer junkies?

Or am I the only weird freak here? :P ;)

I'm sure your not alone in liking the mini.. actually we had a fantastic league race at tsukuba in the minis just a couple of weeks ago, where it turned out that the track/car were perfectly suited ot each other :D

I would love to work a FWD car for GTR2 but unfortunatly i dont know how to. I would sure enjoy driving one if someone came up with one...Well here are the pictures of the racwe cars i have back home.

FWD is fun when your in a Mini.... BUT I LOVE RWD!!! So much more fun and challenging when driving in snow at -30 with summer tyres. God bless idiots like me who forget to change their tyres :p ;)

No, you are not the only FWD freak! Here are some pictures of me racing my FWD in real life! The first two events are hillclimbs -- scary and fun! I took 1st place in both events, BTW! I hope my next car will be a Porsche Cayman...but until then, I am happy with FWD.

Hallo Peter! I´am a german driver near munich in an older stage (51j). I am driving now GTR2 with new G25. My suggestion for You: Take the VW-Golf-1-GTI from no-grip and reduce the power in the .eng-File. I have done it to 75PS (like my real Renault-Kangoo). Adjust main gear translation to become slower with this FWD-car. With a paint-programm You can make Your own speedometer with km/h instead of mph. Formerly I played many GTR1.5.0.0 and GTL1.1 with the mini (reduced). My main-track ist Nordschleife, 0.9.
Good luck!

Now if only we could get those VW's in GTL. :P I'd love a Scirocco, myself. :)

Yeah FWD cars can be very entertaining to drive.. I have had one, what I would call "fast" FWD turbo car.. A 1986 Shelby Charger 2.2L turbo.. That thing was really fun.

I've had a RWD 1980 200sx (my first car), a VW Golf, Honda Prelude 2.0 Si, and my current car (my wifes actually) is a 95' 200SX Se-R - the one with the limited slip differential..

That SE-R is very well balance for a FWD car. Not crazy fast in a straight line, about 7.1 sec 0-60 MPH, but it's spunky with it's 7000 RPM redline. If I dropped an SR20DE-T (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_SR20DET) in there it would be a lot faster though..

Next I think I am going to get an Imrezza RS or a WRX if I can find one I can afford. AWD will be fun too, especially in snow. :D

Check out my pic - I'm a HUGE fan of Minis and currently drive a FWD 2.0 litre Ford Mondeo - although I don't have a preference on either RWD/FWD on the cars I drive - If I like the car, I drive it - simple as that.

Kongo want's rear to be my first!
I get travel sick real bad in the Mondeo (FWD )but not in the Sierra or Cortina which were RWD.
