Visible Race Line Problem

I have a problem, When doing a time trial with Visible Race Line ON, it displays the race line from my previous lap. This is very distracting because if i crash then the next lap im following the same damnn sh!ty line. I thought the Visible Race Line was supposed to show the Ideal Race Line.
I have Persistant turned Off
Am i missing some other setting?

That's what the game does as far as I'm aware, it displays the race line from the fastest lap you have done that session.

If you want a better line you need to load a fast lap done by someone else then it will be their lap that is displayed.
I think you will also need lap line set to persistant.
