I downloaded the F550 extreme version and I saw the demo video where the car is drifting. Can anybody explain me the basic technique so that I can start to do some test with this style of driving? I'm not interested in the car setup, because this is explained together with the Ferrari 550 Mod. I'd like to know only how I should execute this trick.

Thank you very much.

I too would like to know how this is done! I did the setup changes and that made a whole lot of difference but I just ended up in the dirt every time I came to a bend! I put the handbrake on one of my paddles but it has no effect at all!!! Which was very surprising and very dissapointing! I'm sure GT cars have handbrakes. What gives?

Ciao

As far as I know, GT cars don't have a handbrake, but I'm not sure.

On the drifting:
I use a good old scandinavian flick.

some info on it: http://www.tcsracing.org/scandinavianflick.htm

Thanx gtrNL that's very helpful, I tried the Scandinavian flick but being from Jamaica it's sort of "sooncome bit late ne'mind the gravel will stop de car"
I shall have to work on it!

OK I've read the blurb.
Do I need to be in manual? Have control of the clutch and have ABS turned off?

if your refering to this video, it's me!
all i did is leave the setup as the defult one that came with the F550 Extreme edition. remember to have soft slicks on the front and inters on the rear. and you will need to warm up the tyres too. and make stearing lock 35-38 degrees.

for drifting, dont go too fast into a croner as you'll not be able to hold the line and will go off.

on brno i find the best way to attack a corner is in second gear, then flick it into the corner and rideout the slide all the time in 2nd with the engine screeming on the limiter.

im working on a sequal video, and it will hopefully show off the car a little better!

Nice video:) How about uploading the actual replay so us mere mortals can get a better idea of what is involved in driving like a Scandinavian.

okay: I made that car
the handbrake indeed doesn't work I disabled it because its 4WD
using handbrake makes all 4 of the wheels block because the wheels r connected with DIFFS

so what you do:
if you used the setup right as I told you this works:

take the corner you want to drift slowly
turn the wheel all the way to the direction the corner is going to and floor the throttle C what happens ;) then keep the car in drift using the wheel in the opposite direction 2nd or 3rd gear works best

after some practise it's very simple to drift it
the only driving aid I use is automatic clutch

:jester: Hi Manson I'm disturbing you only this time. Did you keep the original Replay of the last video you uploaded for demonstration purposes yesterday? Can you send me this file to my e-mail address (neuronemarcio@libero.it) so that I can see it better? I am not in a hurry...you could do it whenever you find a little time to spend with me... A friend of mine borrowed me the Game GT Legends so that I can recover Dijon track to make a lot of practise....: : when you see other people doing such tricks, these seem easier than anybody can imagine; but when it is your time to do those things, every kind of problem appear.

Thanks again

If this is not a problem for you, I would like it very much. If you agree, for me it is enough the replay file generated by GTR2;it's small and in this way I could see the video directly within GTR2....:) :)
but if you prefer to upload a video for everyone pleasure, this is ok too!!!

Thank you!!!!

found a solution to the "no handbrake" problem
it doesnt work in the gamne
however for the drift cars put the brake bias all the way to the rear! so it will be F20:80R when u touch the brake it wont lock but u can slow down for the turn then as u want to throw it in slam the bake pedal down and start ur slide!
it's it much easier and looks awesome! enjoy!

I deleted my drift cars from the forum, due to low ratings and stuff
They will be still available for downloads but not here anymore
people don't really like them for some reason or just can't understand an english
read me file.... the only place where they still will be available is on www.gmfclan.com

:( :( Please don't be so negative. I think that few people downloaded these mods because they think that those have to used only for drifting; but this is false.
I'm using BMW M3 GTR on Charade Truck from GTL not for drifting and I'm having a lot of fun anyway.... :D :D :D (also because my drifting style is orrible!!!!!!!).
Manson keep on doing these wonderful car and trust No-grip Comunity!!!!

I keep working in my cars and stuff, I already made a new set of custom rims for the M3 but they won't be available here anymore.... only on my own website

a new version of the M3 drift car will be available in a few days, new headlights, rims some paintwork updates!!
