Guys,

I was just wondering how those of you with faster PC's & video cards handle the AA & AF settings in the game?

I currently have the game take care of itself with FSAA set at level 4 & have the nVidia control panel take care of AF at 8x.

My machine is pretty fast (X2 4400+, 2GB DDR-400 & 7900GTX). Should I turn off the FSAA in the game & have the video card handle it all?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

In-game option will over-ride your graphics card driver options, at least I'm pretty sure they do. So, if you have AA set to 2x on your G-card and 4x in-game, you'll have 4x AA, same for AF.

If the game gives you the option to use a particular feature such as AA, set it in-game, instead of your G-card. If the game doesn't give you the option, the set it on your G-card.

Hope this helps. :)

Oh btw, I don't run AF but I use 2x AA in GTR2... My CPU is getting old now (Athlon 64 3700+) and can't keep up with my X1900XT.

Either way it runs AA on the card.

Settings in the graphics card driver override the game settings, unless you set your graphics card driver to "let the app decide". I would set it ingame as I tend to update graphics drivers often, and dont trust them to keep my game profiles.

I run 6xAA and have not set AF. But i get over 120FPS on a full race so I might as well turn it on :)
