If you look under Dan Olbuck, you will see that it was made as a short and long track for Nr2003. This is a well worth it track to convert. I used to watch the races there before they tore it down and made it a mall. Let's bring it back please.

Thanks for that link gc24, i have NR2003, some interesting downloads there. Id really like to see Riverside for GTR, the more US tracks the better. I have no clue how convertable Papyrus tracks are vs Simbin tracks. anyone know? analogkid66? do you know how to convert them? id love to learn.

hey there, i use 3DS Max and 3dsimed for Track creation and Conversion, ive been at it for while and am quite familiar with the different formats now, so conversions should be relatively straight forward, but there is some new stuff in GTR2 that could be tricky, i will look into it.

Im in the middle of doing a scratch built track right now and would love to get that finished for xmas, in the meantime i will be seriously looking into this, as for personal reasons i want a Fantastic version of Riverside built from scratch TBH, but a conversion could be a great stocking filler for the time being!.. ;)

cheers, analog. :cool::

I have permission and have Riverside 1960 on my plate to convert to GTL and rFactor, so it could end up in GTR2 also. But it is months away at this point. I have it running in GTL. But I have a few other tracks that will come before this one.

If you're going to do Riverside, please start from scratch. If you do, then you can make severely needed changes to the layout:

1) Put curbing on the turns and add turn markers

2) Move the start/finish line to the middle of that long back-straight.

3) Move the pits and garage area to the long back-straight.

4) Change the old pit area intoa bit wider track and some grandstands.

5) Add super-grandstands to the back straight (opposite the pits)

6) Add track lighting for night races

I know building a track from scratch is a lot of work, but it's well worth it when you consider that a scratch-built track looks heaps better in GTR2/rFactor when they haven't been the victim of the conversion process.

The only value I see i a converted track is if you're using it as a basis for distance, turn radius, elevation, and physics data for a scratch built version of that track. Beyond that, everything is is just artwork.

I am still driving the Riverside -track with NR 2003-mod GTP.
Would make me happy to drive it in GTR2, too.
