Opaque windows on standalone car

Hi guys.Can anyone help me a little.I have produced a standalone Maserati using
the available templates from GTR.de but have a problem with the windows.The readme with the set said save the .dds file in DXT5 interpolated alpha.I can only get a .bmp save to resave in .dds not a .psd one.(I use Photoshop elements).The result is silvered opaque windows that you can't see through.Am I being a muppet here? What am I doing wrong? I made a car for GTR1 and it was fine.:o

you need to faltten the image before saving it as .dds

this option (to flatten the image) is in one of the menu bar dropdowns

then use geditor to make the gtr file as usual and it should work
