Standalone, skins?

Hello all!

Being new the the whole scene makes me wonder what a standalone car is exactly...

Isn't a standalone the same as a skin, which you just extract to the right folder?

Can someone illuminate this for me please?

A skin replaces an existing paint job in the game. (correct me if I'm wrong) a standalone is a whole new car.

Yep. A skin replaces an already in-game car, where as a standalone adds a whole new car :D
