It's cool on this game how you can test drive them so I don't end up wasting credits like on GT4 buying a GT40 that had spunge brakes!!!

Anyways I'm having trouble at the mo. What cars are real!!!
Yes I know they are all real that's not what Konogo meant. What was meant to be said was which ones are official and which ones are standalone mods?
Some are obvious whilst others arn't and some are even tha same price!!!

Kongo fancies gettin a Jaguar E-type but which ones are real and also they all say they have different top speeds when the BHP is tha same and some are lighter than others! Wouldn't tha lighter ones be faster?
This applies to many cars Like the Ford Escort (gold) being 2MPH slower!!! HOW? It's exactly tha same!!!

Someone help Kongo with these two questions please.
Kongo knows he can have them all but is strongly against freebies and cheats. Want's to earn them, have a few of each type at least but not own them all (even tho this goes towards % completed).

Thanks again for helping the Kongo.:D

Indeed, there are subtile differences between the cars, even they obviosly are from same type and have equal HP. So for the escort the golden on is from one year earlier than the red and blue one. Enginepower is the same, but aerodynamics isn't. It's really fascinating how much love Simbin had put into such small details.
Also the Jaguars are not all the same. So the lightweight-versions are undoubtfully faster than the serial Coupe.
Porsches are annother example. They all have the same hp, but differ in weight and aerodynamics. This is taken into account and as a result the bigwinged ones are slightly better in performance than the ones with small spoilers.
Not quite shure about the 65Vettes - but I think, there's also a difference between the cabrio and coupe.
Also not shure about the other cars like Healey, Mini, Alfa, Cortina an so on, that are present in more versions. But I think, the rest is more the less only a differnt paintjob.
For shure there's a difference between the two BMW's and the 75Vettes. But this is obvios as they also have different values in cardata.

But tha problem is with tha E-type. I want one but the lightweight ones are slower that tha serial Coupe.
Go figure.:D

But yeah I thought it might be to do with aerodynamics on some.
The Vettes GTC-TC-76 are different. One is normal whilst the other has eyes and a different back. Is it a stingray of this era? (1976)

Thanks Ralph. Once again helping Kongo. This time in a femenine way lol
(shopping):D

I see what you mean. Indeed, looking at the cardata the E-Type Coupe is faster in topspeed. But practice had shown me, that in total the lightweight-version has the much better performance and I always had better laptimes in the E-Type "light". Maybe it needs a highspeed-track like Spa67 to get an advantage of the coupe's higher topspeed. Haven't tested that so far, but maybe worth a try.
Additionally have noticed, there is also a difference between the two lightweight E-types. So the righthand-driven is slightly faster than its leftdriven counterpart. Have driven both some time ago in practice for a league-race, but my laptimes have been almost the same. Maybe it also needs a track with fast and long straights to see a difference. Anyway, living in Germany I personally feel more familiar with the LHD-version.

Lol thanks again Ralph.
Heh I liked tha R/H drive one better anyways. Seems to handle better too either that or I'm more comfortable with R/H drive.
Cool then that's the one and yeah Kongo gets what you mean with highspeeds. Tha coupe is faster BUT only if it screams i.e. it's gears allow it but engine power means it crawls up to it so technically the lighter ones are better.

Jus investigated tha Beamers. Kongo hasn't bought one of these yet! Well a propoer one anyways I have a black modded one but jus so Kongo can take it onto bigger tracks.
Tha red stripe on has more BHP but is heavier whilst tha Purple and white one has less BHP but has less weight.
Also tha Red stripe has 1100 more RPH limited at 8800 whilst tha Purple and white one is limited at 7700 but both DO have tha same topspeed cuz when I tested it they both change gears at tha same speed!

Cool cuz Kongo preferes tha Purple and white one!:D
Tha red stripe is too popular and less revs with my experience leads to less spins round corners from over reving.
Kongo cannot believe he didn't see this earlier and investigate (other than tha Capri's). This game has some variety in not only cars but different versions of them too. Sometimes handling is worth sacraficing speed eh!

Hmmm jus please could they make more liveries next time!!!
Blue Capri's, Orange Porsche 914-6...Boring when everyone chooses em.
Like Zolder's Tango race:D !
