motec issues and questions

one question: am i supposed to have a motec display in the hud besides the tach/speedo on the right side?

if so , hth do i get it to work? i have motec i2 pro and the interpreter installed and they all work for external data crunching, but i thought there was a motec display other than the in car dash?

am i misguided?

In the car around the Speedo / RPM is the motec display. You can change what is displayed by hitting space.

Usually the cycle is laptime - engine rpm and temps - tyre temps - brake temps - laptime again.

This only works in cars with motec in them, certain cars like a lot of the ferraris have magneti marelli instead which you can't change. However the external motec software works for all cars.

Its only really usefull to get a good idea of you engine, tyre and brake temps for some quick inital setup of the car.

so there is not a motec hud?

i saw a screen shot somewhere with the tach speedo on the right, and a blue motec hud on the left.

but what you are saying is the only way to get motec in game, is to use the in car view and use the cars dash?

that will save me lots of time :) ive been trying to figure it out for weeks now :)
