Well i just got my G25 and trying to set up the wheel in rfactor, well it works and feels awsome for the 30 secs i drove it, but when i select the gears manual with the 6 speed, and i have it in a gear is keeps bouncing back and forth from that gear to neutral????hmmm and when i have auto clutch off and just throw the shifter into gear the engine dosent die.

Also how do i select assign the neutral position, this might be what is causeing it, neutral is unassigned

And one more thing, when i have the shifter in the neutral position, and just step on the gas, the car goes into first gear and takes off.

Ok forget all that i guess i had auto shifting on and it was messing it up, now i only have two problems, how can i assign the neutral position of the shifter, so that it goes to neutral when the shifter is in neutral, now it just says in the last gear i was in till i select the next gear.

Also is their a way i can have the manual 6 speed, and be able to just turn the knob and have sequential shifting, with out having to reassign the keys?

I cant say for sure in rFactor, but in GTR 2 there is a menu option solving this neutral problem: Hold button for gear, or stg like that. With this turned on when you take it out from the gear it is going to neutral.

Could you not jus put it in gear then select the Neutral button map, then put it into neutral. This should tell it that that is neutral.

Jus a thought.

Try This:

Go into the rFactor\UserData\Your_Player_Profile\Controller.in i file and
change the Gear Select Button Hold to =1

Enable this option if using a gear select device that holds down a joystick
button while in a gear and releases all buttons in neutral.

Let us know if that works.
