The Nordschleife or "Die Grüne Hölle", probably the greatest strip of tarmac on earth.

And for those who don't know..............22km of twisting, undulating track plunging up and down through 300 Metres of altitude change, located in the Eiffel mountains in North West Germany.

In total, the Nürburgring incorporates 172 corners - 84 right-handers and 88 left, originally it was 6.7M wide with the exception of the start/finish apron.

Amazing!

I do have a graphics problem though :(

Some wire fences that are in front of trees is see through so I see the sky instead of the trees behind?

And also some textures like trees have a visble edge at the top (where nothing should be visible.

Is this a problem with my system/graphics card settings?

I run a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with 128 Mb

Hi Magnus, I think the problem is mine.

The line above the trees, I cannot seem to fix (I have seen it in a couple of GPL tracks also - when I was playing around with OGL & D3D - can't remember which it was). When the track is in Max, the line is not there - so I don't think it's a mapping problem. Maybe card settings, but I really don't know.

The gaps in the trees are actually gaps in the fence - again it does not show in Max - I have tried re-building that section but do not seem to be able to fix it. I have checked the normals, and made that material double sided - no change. Very odd.

Hello Everybody,
i have problems installing the package in my Rally Trophy using the BZF-Manager, i allready installed the 911 succesful (lovely car), and partly the installation of the nürburgring seems to be succesful, because now i have curbs in the first stages of russia, probably its only a misunderstanding SS8 in my understanding is the second circle track in arcade-mode. because in the normal rally i only have 6 stages (in expert-Mode).

Im using rally trophy with XP-Home Edition with the offical Patch.

Hi, Tom if you load the Nurby Tarmac textures it mucks up all Russia textures I'm afraid. Sorry about that, it was the only way I could build a Nurby that had painted kerbs etc, but one that would still run on the original gravel textures too.

You can restore your textures from the CD via. BZF manager or use the RTP I enclosed for that purpose.

BTW - If you keep the original (non-Nurby) gravel textures, but install the tarmac data, it will drive as if on tarmac, even if it looks like gravel.

Have you used the cheat code (explained in the Nurby readme) to unlock all Stages?

Hi Roger, thanks for your advice, but i managed it without cheating, i only had to go through the whole russian rally to get the permission getting to ss8, i had already received experts status, long time ago, but in expert rally i never had a chance of winning a flowerpot, due to that fact only the advanced tracks had been available.

Is it right that you will not have an end on nürburg ring so cannot get a saved time for this track. i had to restore the original russian files to unlock stage 8, after that i could install nürburg again.

but now i will look for the cheats.

i think its not good that you can't install additional roads/cars without deleting the original ones, had anybody found a hack to solve this problem?

I don't think there will ever be a hack for new cars/tracks - best to enjoy what we have the best way we can. :wave:

You must have acces to Russia 8 stage, because Nurburgring replaces that stage.

And i recommend to write enlish in this forum :rolleyes:

The tarmac files are part of the package, you have the option to use them. It's all in the readme ;)

It is very easy to change the sky. Just copy the sky.bmf from a day stage, like russia 3. And edit the track8.txt by copying the top part with the light colors from stage3.

Correct, in fact all you need to do is change the colour of the light as you describe.

I will say, please do not release a modified version of Nurby without running it past me first - changes for personal use only.
