I wonder what the field will consist of? Im still deciding what im gonna drive. Guess it depends on what cars are allowed. which clases are being used?

Ive heard the great action that goes on these races. So i decided that i would like to be in one. So i signed up. I ll probably get last place which is ok so i wont be in the big crash up at the begining:D . i know alot of the guys are alot faster than me since i dont tweak my car settings. I just go out and push the car to see how well it will do first.

well I normally drive the Lambo, but this time I am going to use the '04 C5R Vette, as I fell in love with it at Laguna Seca. It is very stable and I already shaved 4 1/2 seconds off the Lambo's time. See ya on the track!!

i just ran a few laps in the lambo and the '04 Corvette and decided that the vette was the one to use since i got a 4:30 lap time whch beat a ferarri. Maybe Corvette will rule the le mans track in GTR2 as they did well in the real race. Lets hear it for american muscle!

Sorry guy's but the corvette is an G2 car. You're only allowed to drive GT-2004 cars !!

I seen a guy, I think oppis, do a 3.41 last night. I wonder if anyone can hit 200mph on the long straights. I was only able to hit 196 with the Ferrari 550.

I think there is a mistake on the server again as it is showing alot more cars than just GT 2004's.

i hit 323 kph in a gtc nr 18 !!! track time is 3:52.065
3.42 are u sure it were on gt1 i did a 3.40 something with a pescarolo not so long ago !!!!

My best so far has been a 3:48.098 in the Saleen. Still trying to get more top speed out of it. Has loads of grip through the last sector though.

Also ran a 3:51.975 with a Viper after about 4 laps on the setup.

Is this true? No Corvette's allowed? Can someone please confirm this? I'm asking because I'm normally only driving the Vette so that would mean a rather drastic strategy change :o

mmh, why has nobody mentioned pitstops yet?

I see 550's and lambo's and S7's mentioned, I don't think they will do 40 mins on a full tank?

The viper and the lister might get away with it but is it worth the risk/reward?

I've my setup already prepared for pitstops, because I'm not going to take the risk of having an empty fueltank in the last 5 minutes.

Pit stops may be an issue for some people if their average race lap is less than 4 minutes. I can see quite a lot of us making it all the way to an 11th lap and almost if not running out of fuel at the end of the race.

The biggest influence on fuel here is going to be the amount of aero damage one has during the race.

More drag = more fuel usage

I've done a few laps at Monaco for the GTL league but other than that I've been really busy this week.

Gonna be a struggle for me I think. I know the track/car but the setup and strategy is what I'm going to struggle with.

I've done 2 laps, yesterday I went to race and before I could click the icon I got a "this copy of windows will expire in 1 hour" notice. So i have to reinstall windows (4 month trial version of XP64bit) tonight, get GTR sorted tomorrow, do some praccy and do the race. So I'll be struggling too.

Maybe a stupid question but curious about what the server is, haven't really seen any servers publicly boasting nogripracing ar nogrip in the title...will it be there i suppose?

Also for some of my bud , they ahven't been able to get "2004Lemans" to run, after load the track causes CTD. I run it fine, but is their a new update, need to be aware of this since I downloaded this track here back in early December?

To see the server your game needs to be set to simulation mode. it shows in the list as nogripracing.com(leauge) i think.

No, the server is correct. We are running official 'GT-2004' class, not unofficial 'GT's 2004'. If the car is available on the server then you can use it in the race.

Thanks for the clarification. I bet the Corvette guys will be happy. I might have to give it a try myself (after practicing all week in the 550):(

seems to me like the car pack loaded on the server is "Officials/FIA GT 2004" witch i believe is all cars from 2004 regardless of class, and if only GT class cars should be in use the car pack to be loaded should be "Specials/ GT's 2004"

sure they've got GTR2 version and not GTL! Made that mistake myself on other track d/l's.
