I have just read some interesting comments about v1250, ie installer not finding rFactor directory, mods not working properly, people getting booted out of race menus back to main menu etc. I was wondering if the same sort of issues cropped up with v1150 and were there any really bad experiences and issues that were or were not resolved? I am fortunate in that I use ModManager and can easily uninstall everything I've added. But I actually have limited space for a backup of my rFactor folder and I would still hate to update and find things I love don't work any more. Let me know what you think, if you think everythings going to be alright or if I should hold off updating until everything settles down. I suppose I should do the honourable thing and beta test their update but it isn't really in my nature.

No problems here, I just dropped the update exe into my rfactor root directory and ran it.

Works fine here too. Just save it in your main rFact folder and run it.
And who was that person in the other thread that said the next patch would be rfactor's last? Would you like some wine with that crow you are eating? :p

I said I thought ISI had hinted the next patch would be the last. ISI have now confirmed that this patch is the last patch. I'd love some wine though :)

The update runs like a charm though I have found a bug which is and is not rFactors fault. Was running Zolder with those wiry stock cars and after I finished the race threw my car in to a 360 and crashed in to the wall on the right. Problem, collision physics only applied to the other side of the wall. So there I am with that repeated collision loop, game confused as so was I. Could not hit escape as the patch requires that your car not be in motion to be able to Escape back to the monitor.

Have sent ISI an email and guess this is one thing they'll have to patch. As earlier stated, this is and is not their fault but being that they promote rFactor as a modding platform, it is their job to comprehend in advance such a situation and have code in place to handle it.
