Hi. Everytime i restart my PC, the DFP self-calibrates, making complete turns from side to side. It makes a lot of noise and that's very annoying to me. Is it possible to disable this self-calibration? Help is much appreciated, thanx in advance.

So does G25. I keep the power cord unplugged normally, and endure the rumble when I'm going to race...

I use a black Momo and have the centering spring activated. When I shut down the game\turn off the PC, and boot the PC again, it NEVER does what you describe, provided I leave the wheel centered.

However, if I inadvertently turn the wheel off-center while the computer is shut down, and start the PC, I also experience what you two describe.

Bottom line, I leave the wheel totally dead-centered when shutting down to avoid it's whipping from side to side on a re-boot.

Don't have a clue if this may help either of you.

Unplug the USB or power cable.

My own DFP does the exact same thing and personally I just try to live with. Far prefer knowing the wheel is centred and I only have myself to worry about for any gravel wanderings... ;)

Unplug the USB or power cable.

Yeah that's what i used to do but i always forgot to plug it again before starting the game  . So it cannot be disabled right? What a stupid thing. Anyway, thanks everybody.

Thrustmaster has it too.

The red MOMO doesn't have this, so maybe that's a nice wheel for you. Secondhand though...

I've got the red MOMO for a few months now, and it's a great wheel. The only thing is, that I have to move it fully to the right or left by myself.
Else its only 180degrees.., and if you go through that once, the steering wheel is not good calibrated, than you have to go to the other side, and it's allright then.
