Thanks to BorekS and Klaas for the upcoming support and the fact that they granted us the use of the Marcos and Ultima when they are ready.



All BELCAR fans can feel free to comment and criticize whenever they want.

For now we are still looking for a few skilled people to help us with the work on this mod:

First of all someone who might be able to convert a GTR1 car to a GTR2 ingame vehicle.
We are also on the lookout for a sound editor who can edit the engine sounds at a later stage.
The mod shall be released on a quality basis. This means it could take a while before we can state an official release date.

Marcos and Ultima are confirmed , still hoping for a stealth. The BMW models exist in GTR1 form, but we syill have to find someone who can convert them.

Belcar is a Dream for motorsportfans . I´m coming from germany .
since 2000 I visit the 24H zolder event.

Here writes an Audi quattro Fan .
OK
Perhaps it is able to make the Audi Competition from Perrty Kuismannen.
In an other game the SCGT the Audi IMSA GTO was as Mod to play .IT is nearby the same car .
I ´ve made the sounds from this car . A real 5 zylinder sound ,low RPM High RPM in and out of the car . Taken from video streams .

In SCGT I was abel to make stand allone cars . an Audi 80 Typ 85 limousine 1983 .I Have the blue prints of an real Audi 80 B4 the rest i can get from Photos an video streams .
But I need the software to make Cars for GTR2. Were I can get it ?
In GTR2 I have changed one car to 4 x4 drive without Traction problems .Only *.hdc data changing .
My Last English lessonse are 20 Years ago , Please overread some mistakes .

The zolder circut 2004 for GTR2 is abel to get from eSport Racing .
How does the 5 zyinder sounds ? search for `Col de turini` in google video There is an audi S1 rally group b car . nice one 540 HP @ 6500 RPM; 740 Nm @ 4900 RPM ; 2119 ccm

Totally agree with the request of older BMWs.
E36 is missing in GTR2, and its a classic beauty of the races. It would be great if someone release this car!

Which photos do you refer too? The newest photos I have seen date from October last year. It is rather quiet on the front, let us hope that plans for an advance is underway.

Two years ago , i started the Belcar 2006 Mod for GTR2, together with BSR-Sjokkel.
After getting some more help from numerous modders we got the base beta ready.
However, lots has changed both in my spare time and private life, since those days.
At one time i decided not to release the mod, because of various reasons. One being that GTR2 did not seem to raise much interest after the release of GTR-Evo.Because of the many mails i have gotten regarding the mod, i have now decided to release the mod on a ” as is ” basis. In general i am going to keep it in Beta status.
Lets call it an open project. Therefore i am on the lookout for people who would be interested to help improve the final stages of the beta to get it release ready.

It shoudn't be "busy with wsgt 2" was the last comment. a pointless mod (right now) because it's for a game that dosen't exist yet.

Shame because this is far more interesting for me anyway.

A While ago i did call out to the community for a little help , cause i really have a time problem at the moment and want to dedicate that time to the WSGT2 mod . The reasons for it are my own. Further more , Sjokkel who did do allot of work on the skins moved from Curacou back to Belgium and had no time to spare because he was rebuilding his house.
For me the Belcar mod was a learning curve, but due to circumstances is now an old project. Its also a project that does not represent the quality i am now trying to create in the WSGT2. My main interest is Scratch Build these days. So from my point of view, releasing the mod had no priority. appart from that it is/whas a hard mod to work on. The mazda and Mini have no high detail wireframes as templates, and no max meshes. that makes it allot harder to create quality textures and so it takes up more time. The only reason i still want to release the mod , is the hard work thats been put in it by various people. Some of them are no longer active in the simscene.
My first plan whas to release the addon cars as a pack , since the rest of the cars are merely original GTR 2 cars. On the other hand it would be nice to see the entire pack released.
There where 2 options :

1. Getting someone interested in a serious conversion to GTR-Evo , since most interest of the fans is situated there. Up untill now i could not find annyone interested , and at this stage i can not use RMT members for that sideproject.
2. Get some interested people in the GTR2 community to finish the work. Up until now i only found people who wanted to do it , if they could rip some cars for their own mod right away... not really motivating...
3. Forget about the mod for now , and release it when i finaly find the time to finish it.

What needs to be done:

*Cars are all ready , exept the Stealt B6 . ( for now i got the model , but the cockpit is not made yet. I guess it will not get made annymore )

* All cars have to be checked ( GTR2 File and numbering system )

* Soundfiles have to be checked and /or updated and corrected

*Carreer files have to be made

*Championship files have to be made

*3 or 4 skins have to be made ( mainly Porshe )

So if some of you are ( seriously ) interested and able to get it ready, i could give out the files.

At one point and for a rather long time, this was my most closely watched and anticipated Mod! For those of you who can complete wix's "list of things to do", please offer your services and let him know! It would be a terrible thing to see all that work go by the wayside!
