Hello I just want to ask a quick question and would really appreciate as many replies as possible :D

I have noticed that almost all the Sub Forums (GTR2, GTL, RBR, Rally Trophy) apart from this one - rFactor - open up with all the threads from the beginning or at least the last month. The default setting for the rFactor Forum appears to be the last 24hrs. Can everybody who is reading this confirm this for me?

When one opens up this Forum and there have been no posts for a day we are met with a blank list, no topics and I wonder how many people take the time to scroll down and change the setting so one can see what topics were discussed the previous day or remind themselves of what they were discussing a week or two ago. It seems to me that if the default setting is set too low it might explain why there is little activity on this rFactor Forum. And with this setting I see no hope of it gathering momentum because anyone clocking in for the first time will be met with a lifeless Forum.

I think if the default is at fault and we make a strong case for the rFactor Forum to be amended it might just gather a little bit of momentum as with the rFactor gallery which has begun to turn over nicely.

Please if you are reading this and are at all interested take the time to reply and let me know your thoughts. I really enjoy all of Nogrips forums and as rFactor has grown on me over the past weeks . . . or is it months? . . I don't want to have to find another community to chat about just one facet of my particular passion which is racing sims, any sim I can get my hands on!

I can confirm this... it's "last day" by default on rfactor subforum and "from the beginning" for GTL or GTR2...
You managed to make Dan reopen the rFactor gallery... I think you'll succeed in that one too...
I love RSCnet but their strict policy is sometimes really annoying and no grip is also much faster... I support you on that one.

Thanks John, you're right about RSCnet, it is fine, but Nogrip is finer and far quicker and the download section and how we know just what is new and where to get it is where nogrip really puts one over RSC.

Biggest issue with RSC is that they're MySql has gotten so big, it's very slow and sometimes when I reply, I can't, the site hangs.

And Snowy, rFactor has a way of growing on people for sure as it has so much to offer and is constantly growing.

I now have three rFactor installs and I guess the first installs 13gb is now just a distant memory of less congested times. I actually had to buy a new hard drive because of rFactor!

Now back to the subject anybody else want to confirm the default settings for this Forum and support a call for change in this status so we can get this Forum into the big league?
