F1 2002 PC game?

Anyone still play this or think is is better than the others? I have it and stopped playing it when GTR2 came out, but I notice that they have a GTR mod for it now.

I still play F1C, but only a little, with the FIA GT 97, BTCC, and Prototype C mods. But now it doesn't feel good since GTR2 and rFactor came out:(

Still, it's one of the greatest, if not the best modding platform

Firstly no one is saying they are better :p Get that straight ! :p

I have all F1-2002 and F1C mods tracks and most running in 4 folders.

Keep them all ? Why the hell not ?
What you use your HDD space for ? Stargate ? Buffy? :p
they are reasonably small you will fit a decent season on a DVD
run better fps if you struggle there
they still have tracks not offically released in GTR2 or RF
PTC has the most models in any mod so just for a look through the spinner even !
The carset changer works 100% in all 02/F1C mods ( GTR2/ rF :rolleyes: )
GT Racing2002 still has some better looking skins then RF and GTR2
You can drop F1C tracks into '02 and they look amazing
GT Racing 2002 was a revolution
Its interesting to see the comparasion between sims at any give time
Takes 10 seconds to boot and loads a quick race 4 times faster
Another thing alot of people dont realise what it looks like at 1600 full AA/AF
as they probably never had a video card back then would do it
Trust me add in Barbagallo, Rouen kyalami Rolex F1C into F1-2002 GTR2002 HiReS :p

Its a eye opener

Most important its my thanks to the modders over the years
Like umm ..................... pulling out the photo albums every now and then ? ;)

Still do a LOT (over 49,000 miles) of SCC for F1c...still the best prototype mod out there...rFactor just keeps promising one........

i still think that the v8 mod for f1c is better than the gtr2 version,
it also has better tracks,
example: barbagallo and adelaide look better than the gtr2 versions:D

Have you tried the F1 Challenge mod ITC 96? It's freakin' awesome!
One of the best mods for that game.
You need ETCC 2003 Evo though

yes I still try to turn laps in the game ,but im hooked on the online racing and have noticed a real decline in n. american players. it seems nobody wants to take it slow and go thru full qualify session then race. its hurry hurry more than 3 and race starts with no hello and never a good bye. I would say pusshy people but im old and I could just be grumpy! I need to see a imsa or group c mod for f1 2002
