Starting this week(28 March) we have a new race 'series' that is open to all drivers. The races will mirror our sunday League races in that they will use the same track/car combo, but will be of a shorter duration..
Race Format:
Races will comprise of 2 sessions, a 25 minute combined practice/qualifying session to decide the grid order, followed by a 25 minute race.
To start with there will be 2 races per night, depending on popularity this might change in the future.
Race 1 will start at 8pm UK time, Race 2 will start at 9pm UK time.
Racing Rules:
1) We are stressing the importance of proper racing attitude. Race like a gentleman and avoid contact if at all possible, any 'iffy' incidents will be reviewed and if it is evident that a collision could have been avoided then we will put the person under review / banned from future races. There are no points or prizes awarded for finishing in a high position.
2) It is mandatory to run a "VIRTUAL MIRROR" in cockpit for a clear view of the back.
3) In-game chat should be kept to a minimum during qualifying and race sessions while there are cars on the track. Common courtesies of the sort that you may programme as standard chat buttons on your wheel, such as 'sorry', 'thanks', 'pass right' etc., are perfectly acceptable, but please refrain from chit-chat as it can be very distracting if you are on a hot qualifying lap or trying to finish a race.
4) If you experience connection problems or one of the game bugs that prevent you from racing then please leave the race server. Do not attempt to 'carry on regardless' as you may unfairly spoil the race of others. Common game bugs include: if you join the race session but can't see any other cars, you are dropped in an unusual position when attempting to join the grid.
5) Do not use [NG] or [NGR] as part of your ingame nickname unless you are actually a member of the respective group. These are reserved for site admins and respected league drivers respectively - anyone attempting to falsely use these monikers will be booted from the server.
6) Do not attempt to 'vote forward' race sessions - one of the appointed race admins will ensure that races start at the alloted time, or as close as is possible.
