View Full Version : F1 Malaysia 2007
The Malaysian Grand Prix (1 a.m.) I am going to be extra frigg'n sleepy this time lol
Massa in pole position. Alonso right beside him. I bet if Massa gets the jump he could win this race. Hope his car don't stall on the starting grid. Raikkonen will finish top 5

I am so going to murder some Ferrari drivers( and it's not Kimi )
What was exactly Massa doing!?
Looked to me like he was trying to make a series of good hotlaps instead of cooling down and taking a pace:mad:

You've got to bear in mind Massa is relatively inexperienced :roflmao:
I think Massa got a little too impatient With such a bad start in the 1st race and having a great week up to the race, he made an error. Frustration started to set in and his race went to hell.

Frustration, yes, and pressure from his icecold teammate!
But simply astounding what a great race Lewis drove! To muscle his way to P2 by T2 and then to keep his cool when Massa was losing his and overshooting his brakepoints!! And perhaps even more impressive, after Massa went off and almost anyone else would have let up just a little just to catch his breath, instead to keep running great laps and hold Kimi at bay, too. Incredible! And in the end, fastest lap! WELL! As he said in the press conference: that was very hard work, and in a cockpit like an oven. Just an impossibly strong, tough, professional job from this amazing rookie.
Hamilton is an impressive driver, no one would tell he's a rookie after this race. However, let's not forget who actually won the race....

I have never been impressed by Felipe: he is very good when the car is very good. "Relatively inexperienced"? ... ah ah ah... that' s his 5th season (and I don't count 2003 when he was test driver for Ferrari): the guy raced more than 70 GPs...
Don't get me wrong: he is good and would have probably won if he had not been overtaken by Felipe... and Lewis! And maybe if he had got a better result in Melbourne he would have not made such a mistake. He'll probably have a brillant carreer as he has a good relationship with the Todt family but he does not impress me as a pure pilot. In Australia he stayed stuck behind Fisico in the slow 2007 Renault when Michael had overtaken Fisico 2 or 3 times in the fast 2006 Renault last year in Interlagos.
Fernando is maybe the best pilot this year again with Kimi.
And Lewis. Ah ah ah.
My english is not very good so I'm not sure I understood but ... Did Lewis apologize at the press conference?
LH: "Felipe had a couple of moves, I think he tried into turn four a couple of times, but fortunately I was able to trick him into out-braking himself and get my car stopped and it was very fortunate that I was able to cut across and get back in front of him, to the point where he eventually went off, so I apologise for that but at the end of the day, we got the points, so it doesn't really matter"
If he did this is really funny.
I don't forget who actually won the race... but the race would not have been exciting at all without Lewis performance.

About the other drivers... Nick had a great race...Nico too ... don't know what happened to the Toyota engine though... too bad.
Maybe Kubica had problems with his car but something tells me that J. Villeneuve was happy if he watched the race.
I also noticed that Ron said that there is a new motivation in the team with the 2 new pilots... that was obvious during the week end... anyone who saw the footage of the first day of Alonso at McLaren the day he was introduced to these engineers and technicians all dressed in black can see that. They look more like a F1 team now and not an army of brithish Amish. Ron on the pitlane making sure Fernando could see the pit board for his first pit stop proves that... the guy was as excited as in the great McLaren's time.
I hope Renault will set a good car for the upcoming races ... the more the merrier... both drivers score points. Not that bad compared to Jenson and Rubens... I think I'm going to sell my 1999 Honda Civic 1.5 Vtec ... anyone interested?
If I can ask something for Bahrein next week... I wish Lewis' radio will be out of order... seems that it's a luck sign.

Yes, Spain... ah, Alonzo (:D) is due full credit! He nailed the start and never made a mistake. That's no surprise from the 2-time WC. But you have to acknowledge that he never came under any pressure, thanks to his remarkable teammate.
