Ive read about that new physics patch..
How does it affect the game? Can u go faster with it? Ive seen some stage times that feel "unrealistic" to me.
Ok I dont practice alot but to slice 10 sec of my best times...wow.
I used to play Rally Masters on the net a couple of years ago. I was one of the best then. When I came back one year later I had no chance.
People didnt brake before some corners and crashed throu them. Still having lots of speed on the corner exit
Me who like to drive "realistic" could never do those stage times. So I wonder how are the moral among the Rally Trophy players?
Its sad if people find ways to use the games weaknesses in order to do otherwise impossible times.

Ken's physics don't make the cars faster, they just make them handle a bit more realistic. Sometimes the original Bugbear physics are faster than Ken's. There are some people who drive with home-made physics and use them to set unrealistic times, we don't want that here in our stage times section. :)
I can only advise you to study other people's replays. You may find those ten seconds by doing that and practicing. Just wait until Ken gets the hang of it again and starts uploading his replays, then you'll get really depressed. :P

:smash: it really seems for me that there is no big difference in times with and without Ken's patch in v1.01 but it is big difference in times if someone uses v1.00 and then start to use Ken's patch with that- than v1.00+Ken's patch is about the same as v1.01(with or without ps.patch). But generally speaking my feeling is that cars ussualy have biger top speed with ps. patch (let me know if I'm wrong) but without they have better acceleration (too good grip maybe) so in the end that come to the same looking at times. Still not exactly same but close...At the end I decided to drive without ps. patch becouse even KenKunen himself said that he don't like that ps. patch so much and i like handling more without it...(for now) :OMG:

I just have another question regarding the Torque 1.3 thing..
How does that affect the car? I saw some good stage times with that thing on.. Does it increase the performance?

The game has torque at 1.3 by default (This multiplies the power of the cars by 1.3 - I suspect BB did this to make the game more exciting), so if you have not changed this any times you set will be comparable with other people on standard set-ups.
Some people change the torque to 1.0 (which leaves the cars at "realistic" power) - they go slower. So, if someone sets a time with 1.0 torque you know they have a low powered car.

I don't think I could live with Ken, even if I used 2.3 :P

Maybe I'll get some time Saturday. When I get home, life gets very busy and playing RT is not easy to get to.
