Of course, but I wanted to let anyone who didn't already know that it was surpassed recently by the Veyron. Not to mention, the Veyron is getting a 200hp increase for their next upgraded model. They are aiming for 271mph I think. That is so unbelievably dangerous lol. But I would do it in an instant if I could!

True, but I can almost bet an R1 surely gives bit more rewarding (bigger perhaps) sense of speed and acceleration than even a Veyron (which is obviously faster) ...and for a very small fraction of the price! :D

...still it's like comparing apples with oranges.

Many supercars go faster than top superbikes but while in a tin-top (road) car you have everything "filtered" and you go comfy, in a sportbike (road legal) everything is simply pure and raw (some will say too much ...especially guys with a Bugatti Veyron! HAHA) for being exposed to elements such as nature's environment.

The guy in the Bugatti Veyron was probably smiling (ZzzZZzzzZz) but the guy in the Yamaha R1 was almost surely grinning (FOOOOOK!). :D hehe

...I guess anyone here that owns (or owned) a fast sportbike knows what's it all about. ;)
