I have had some connection problems these last two weeks. But yesterday @ race time, everything went well. But I noticed that on the practice server something strange happens. I click join to join the NG server and now I need to type the password, which I know. But after I type it, when I click on the yes sign the game freezes for 10 seconds and when it unfreezes it doesn't do anything just sits here where you need to type the password. But on the Tourist Gamers Crib server I have no trouble entering. It's a clean install, and I have disabled Antiviruses, Firewall, Messengers and all that stuff. What is the prob?
I get the exact same problem sometimes, the only way I know around it is to restart GTR2.

I tried restarting GTR2 and it doesn't help. Heck I even restarted my PC and it doesn't work.
Are you sure that the password is correct? You have type it identically - FairPlay. F and P should be in capital letters.

Yeah m8, I know capital letters but it doesn't say bad password or anything, just freezes for 10 sec and it's back with nothing changed:confused:

I see that on certain open servers....click join and NOTHING happens. I think that it is server related. When I try to set up my dedicated server (I dont have the right ports enabled on the modem) My server shows in the lobby, but when you click on join...nothing. So to me that says problem with the server...not you.

So why does it work fine for everybody else?

It can't be the server cause I joined yesterday for the race but be4 and now I can't:confused:But I can on GC running the same track:confused:
Do you have the same version of Nordschleife. As far as I know there are a couple of versions. Maybe some add-on cars or something like that?

Yep, downloaded it today, and since I was booted from GC yesterday, today I did another clean install with NO other tracks than the standard ones and Nord:up:
Here's a pic from it

Are you going through some kind of weird router/firewall? Maybe the router needs to be rebooted.

GTR2 will need open ports 34297 & 34298 in UDP and 34347 in TCP for online game sessions

Thx it was the router. But the bad thing is I need to reboot it for every 3-4 hours:mad:

Dunno...what I was saying is that it happens. Whether it's this server or that server....sometimes I see absolutely nothing happen when I click join. It has not happened with nogrip's server. It happens in the lobby with random servers, and only a few...I can still join others in that same lobby, so that's why I thought it was server related. And since I don't have any problems joining others, It was a thought. And this is not the "don't have that track" or incompatible, maybe running a modded version problem, and it's not passworded either. Explain then, why nothing happens when trying to join.
