Yeah so I got my SR up to 4.99 after the last Indy race.

So as a glutton for punishment I decide to jump into a street stock race.

Let's just say the SR is now 4.69.

What the ***? Everybody is wrecking, I got hit by some weirdo on the warmup lap, he overtook me and the only thing I saw in the race was crashes. Everywhere.

I lost -0.24 SR in 3 laps.
This was utter insanity.

Apollyon 2 May 11 04:43

I foolishly decided to join a street stock race the other day and well, I had the same luck myself, -20 down to 3.06. I really need some good clean races, the last few tracks in the truck series really killed me, I might start riding along at the back again until the last 5 or 10 laps or so and see what I can get.

Khan1670 4 May 11 18:07

Not a great result at all at Daytona, but I was surprised my SR went up so much.

Couldn't seem to get anywhere the whole race, truck felt like I had a ton of bricks in the back.

Any way late in the race I get cut across by the #12 out of turn 4 and we both go into the inside wall. Surprisingly I only got a 2x but had to stop over 2 minutes for repairs.

I was quite shocked to get a +.28 SR from the race. :?:

Readover 4 May 11 18:58

lol, there I am :D in 4th xD

Khan1670 4 May 11 20:21

Haha, nice job though I guess you got late help from that wreck near the end ;)

Anyway I guess my SR went up so much because a really bad race got knocked out in my last "whatever" laps it calculates the cpi from. :)

Readover 4 May 11 21:36

lol yeah xD I was 10th.. Was a few that couldn't hold lines.. But was gonna make a charge on last lap and go 3 wide.. Had a friend I was going with all race and we were really fast with me pushing so we was gonna try and go through.. but, not easy when people wreck xD

Khan1670 5 May 11 17:59

1st Career Win!!!

What a difference a day makes!!

Played the fuel game waiting as long as possible to do the single pit stop necessary.

Had just gotten the 2 lap warning when the only yellow came out. Most everyone had already pitted earlier so i was a lap ahead of most of them.
Had to pit for a splash though but came out in front creating a 1 lap sprint for the win!!

Readover 5 May 11 18:16

Grats! :D

There's bound to be a caution during green flag pitstops xD

AllanGP 5 May 11 19:03

Well done!!

Khan1670 5 May 11 19:45

Thanks, everyone had already pitted though except me. Two guys just got together being agressive late in the race. I was like thank you!!

Mikel 5 May 11 20:34

Congrats !!

Looks as a really close fight for the win, well done mate!

Khan1670 13 May 11 20:22

First ever race at Dover. I admit to being a bit apprehensive going in expecting it might be a crashfest and i'm not too fast there yet.

Race went better than expected, I was content to hang out at the back early.
Didn't pit until lap 66 all under green as the tires were going and I'd just smacked the wall once. Of course the 1st yellow comes out as i'm driving down pitlane.

Ended up down a lap after the stop. Last yellow came out with about 19 laps
left and I got my lap back on a wave around.

Quite happy with the result ending up 8th on the lead lap.:-)

maccam26 16 May 11 18:18

Love Dover... was my first experience there too in the Truck Series... I had a 3rd place and a 7th place finish this week. No incidents in the first and got a 2x on a wall contact in the next one trying to get to 5th place during the last 10 laps with BANANA tires... It was all excellent fighting... For a guy like me that only puts in about 4-5 hours a week racing, a TOP 3 is a BIG TIME Win!!! See you at Charlotte this week... this is going to be a tough 90 laps.

Khan1670 16 May 11 19:28

Yeah I enjoyed the track more than I thought I would. Only did two more races though and got caught up in wrecks.

Apollyon 16 May 11 21:43

I love Dover, never raced it until this last week, had some real good runs there, even managed to win one which I was wrapped with. I have noticed for me that the one mile ovals and short tracks are the best for me, I am ok on the larger tracks but no where near as competetive, I find that kinda strange, for years I have preferred to race on tracks like michigan more, haha how the times change. I really wish Phoenix was in the truck series this season, I love it there.

trotty88 20 May 11 10:10

Just a quick topic deferral - Does the fact that recently released NFS Shift2 contains a version of Bathurst have any bearing on the licensing rights ,obviously owned by EA?

Last I heard they were up for discussion again early this year, but have never really heard any follow up.

Just curious.

Khan1670 28 May 11 14:10

Anyone else doing the Indy 500?

Didn't bother qualifying and might start from the pits depending on my grid spot.

Khan1670 28 May 11 20:01

2nd snatched from the jaws of victory!!

Well ran the 500 and it was a yellow fest especially in the 1st half of the race.

Managed to survive and eventually took the lead...........but on my final pit under green I screwed myself with a 16 second penalty for speeding in the pits.

Came out about 15 seconds behind the eventual winner. Was able to close but ran out of laps. I'd already passed him at least 4 or 5 times too :(

http://members.iracing.com/membersit...0&custid=39158

Still was obviously a great experience and I was really only hoping to get in the top 10 anyway

gtrNL 29 May 11 13:09

Nice one. Just surviving in a race like that is a big accomplishment if you ask me.

I really wanted to join, but the boss called in. Needed me big time. And who can refuse 2x pay :D.

AllanGP 29 May 11 16:03

Yes good result Khan!

Khan1670 29 May 11 18:11

Thanks guys, so I join a couple races today in the regular Indy oval series and make it about 5 laps total between the two races. Go figure! :(

maccam26 31 May 11 12:38

With the excitement on the Indy 500 and the fact that the regular Indy Oval series was at Indiannapolis, I doubt you got the "regular" experience from that series yesterday..

Apollyon 1 June 11 05:41

Yeah you get the same with Daytona, a whole lot of people join when the big races come up, even if they have no clue how to drive the cars. I finally picked up the indy car and indy after the 500 haha, not the smartest of moves, but my first race I was on pace pretty quick, damn I love that car now.

Khan1670 2 June 11 07:56

Yeah I love that car too, I wish they'd run a full oval and full road course series instead of what they've got going now.

I'd be all over the Oval series for sure. :)

carfetish 2 June 11 19:15

Are those 'grip hacks' discussions that have been posted on the internet yesterday just gimmicks or they actually found a flaw? Did the authors receive a cease and desist order by iRacing?

adriecoot 2 June 11 21:17

I still remember almost one year ago i wrote on some forum that i would NEVER EVER buy into iRacing. At the moment i had tried rFactor with a bunch of mods and simbin and a few other titles. I said I didn't have the dedication or motivation needed to justify the expense...

Fast forward a few months and look at this "award" I now have on my iRacing profile...

http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6...10602at314.png

i think i have issues.. lol...

ChappyEight 2 June 11 21:19

hahaha, awesome!

AllanGP 2 June 11 21:55

Yes, get a life! Actually I mean well done, I'll never win that award.

adriecoot 2 June 11 22:26

haha there's actually been times when i think to myself.. "stop playing games go outside and get a life!" a few moments later i say to myself... "you gotta go practice that track man, you are not gonna get faster if you dont practice stop wasting time and go get faster!"... hehe...

trotty88 3 June 11 08:08

I see over at VirtualIR - news that Interlagos has been delayed due to some trouble with customs. The good news being that Oulton Pk is getting the attention and extra resources now, so it will be here sooner, no doubt to the delight of Allan!

Yes I am very pleased about that!! Just hope we get the option to run the circuit without the chicane's too. Knickerbrook's one of those corners you think you can go faster at but always have a little lift, well at least that was me in real life!!

Way to go....pass your addiction on to other Innocent forum readers:mrgreen:

I,m retired so this is great for me , I really needed something to work at/goal oriented. Thanks for mentioning this is some of the other forums, I,m sure nkpro was one of them. I was the same as you figured I,d never pay to play. $150.00 later after a few games like TDU2 and 3 others I,m starting to see something for my money.

Kritter 6 June 11 09:35

@Fredrick,

geez mate you are having some bad luck, none has been your fault but you cop on the chin very well. Hope you make race 2 and things may go your way

:-( Yeah, well this V8 thing is killing me, hehe. Lost near 200 irating and a full 1.0 SR in two races. My only consolation is that my pace was close to the big guns even with a little damage.

Yes it was, very much. Was good fun watching, great job from basically last to 10th? Do not worry about Wayne guy (as I am sure you are not), he is a pretty bad blocker and swears alot  I was glad he looped it .

stabizisback 6 June 11 10:10

Thanks, Kris. :) Yeah, I didnt intend to spin him around, although he cut me off a few times at a very late point, I just couldnt slow down enough when he almost parked at that apex. Oh well, its sort of touring car racing. :) Yes, 23rd to 10th is fine, but I would have preferred to leave T1 with the front first.

Come join the next one!

bozont 6 June 11 10:25

was seeing red after saturday. yesterday i took 4 races in line and it resulted in C class license :D

received the addicted award too lol :D

Lol, Unfortunately I run out of talent after lap 5  I will, happy race this series, just not this track. I got to 1.3.5's laps which is passable, but no consistency. I just do not want to F up the series with a wreck as I know mnost of them

Watch out for my mate Stuart Wood, you was catching him in the end.

stabizisback 6 June 11 13:34

Nah, a car ahead of me braked way to early in T3 and I hit him and spun. faced the wrong way and was killed by another car.

Next race: Started from pole, and in the fear of being hit in T1 again I jumped the start. Served stop 6 go on lap 1 and was dead last. Got back up there and was 2nd by lap 30, gaining on the leader. Just as i caught him he spun off track and hit the tire barriers, sending back on right in front of me. Dead engine.

Seriously, I am finding some other car to drive. :( -400 iRating and tons of SR in three races.

Kritter 6 June 11 23:52

Eeek. I feel for ya, as you have the pace to earn a few wins and get some good points. Hope you stick with it! You have had a tuff return to road racing to say the least.

gtrNL 10 June 11 18:17

Just saw this video on YT, I loved it.

And somebody is using a StabizSkin (c)

stabizisback 11 June 11 10:15

Yeah, thats hompe for you. :) He has a couple of hilarious rFactor vids as well.

Khan1670 11 June 11 14:51

Great race in the Indy premier. Only 1 yellow in a 120 lap race and it didn't come until around lap 97.

Near the end I was like "yay 4th place with leaders right in front of me", but of course they were a whole lap ahead :-(

gtrNL 11 June 11 18:14

Nice race by the looks of it, congratulations on the top 5 finish.

I've been having some problems with my internet recently, as it drops away for a few seconds every now and then. Although I have been getting great support from the ISP the problem is still not solved. This obviously also means that long iRaces are not possible.
But yesterday I couldn't stop myself any longer, so I booted up iRacing and joined a Grand Am race. And you know what, 50 minutes of racing and no loss of internet. And I discovered a great new track, Miami road course B is a lot of fun. Started 20th, finished 12th.

http://members.iracing.com/membersit...1&custid=51096

After that I joined a carberator cub practice session and had a great run with a couple of guys. Then I joined a race and had a big crash within four laps. Funny fact: I've never finished a carberator cub race.

Khan1670 11 June 11 18:51

Hehe, I don't even bother with the Carburetor cup anymore.

Yeah I know they are just fun races but they are so short they seem pointless.

You're also going to get more wrecking because no penalties means guys will take more risks than they usually would.

adriecoot 12 June 11 23:07

Its not a big deal but i would like your opinion, check out this screenshot and tell me whose fault do you think it was.

http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/8124/sorrybrou.jpg

ChappyEight 12 June 11 23:10

I'm no expert, but it looked to me like the black car never cleared the white car and then came down on him.

trotty88 13 June 11 01:28

What chappy said.
Looks like the result of not having your spotter turned on.
