It would be Fantastic to see:
Seat 124 - Seat 127 - Seat Ibiza (any version) - Renault 5 (80's NO MaxiTurbo).

Default Renault 5

Renault 5 of the late 70s / early 80s would be great. It was not so rare and expensive as the big Renault 5 Turbo
I had a Renault 5 Alpine in the 80s, lot of fun to drive. Optical it looked like "le Car" with 45hp, but had a 93hp engine without tuning and a weight of 850kg.
It was used in national and international Cup-Racing.
Later they built the Renault 5 Alpine Turbo with 107hp, a true GTI-Killer.

Thank you, this is an track spec 124 1800, it had different fender flares from the gr4 rallye spec.
There are a SEAT 131 with gr5 specifications, I´ll upload pics soon.

I saw in your profile info that your location is Yokohama, if you´re in Japan, hope everything goes fine, it was a terrible disgrace.
Cheers from Spain

@pizzaman
Yep mate I know.. but the question was: "What cars do you want in GTL?" and it is only my updated list from 2008/2009 ..well, these are only wishes and dreams (specially the bold ones) and the most of them we’ll see never in GTL, cause they aren’t 100pro GT cars and/or they are toooo slowly *sniff*
..yea, you are right ..a lot of cars are WIP ..some are livin WIP’s and some WIP’s are wasting their times in the lost and forgotten space ..too bad! *doublesniff*

@all
..oh damned ..my link to the lil Glas photo is gone ..I’ll try again ..hmm, I don’t want to upload, so here it can be found (yes, a bit work won‘t hurt *g*) ..the best lil monster car ever!
google pic-search & type in:"red Goggo-Mobil von Rudolf Schuler" ..click first pic and wonder!

edit: oops, 4get it ..now it's there again ..sorry!

Cheers!

1979-1985 Mazda RX-7 (first generation). Light, balanced, fast, and an absolute blast to drive. With minimal chassis adjustments a perfectly balanced car that 4-wheel drifts with ease.

In racing, the displacement of a Wankel engine is usually doubled for classing purposes.

Default Cougar and 67-8 Mustang coupes?

How about the'67 Mercury Cougar as raced in the Trans Am for that year by Dan Gurney and others? Even if they were campaigned for only one year, the cars looked very spectacular in theiir read and silver livery, and since they were built on almost the same floorpan as the Mustang and had the same powerplants, perhaps this would not be too difficult to model.
The same applies to the 67 and 68 Mustang coupes that were campaigned not only in the trans Am but also internationally would be a great subject. Again, we have that wonderful '67 Shelby GT350 and 500 available, so the changes would not be too great. I must confess I know nothing about building a new model, so I may be way off here as to how easy they would be.
My thanks to everyone who has made this simulator so bloody great!

You can keep on repeating this ad infinitum, but the easier way would be to just shell out the $ 20 or so and buy rFactor. Even an rF Lite download will do.

I'd love to see a rebirth of the '67 fastback Stang Nack was working on a few years ago.
It was shelved for 'legal' reasons, I believe. With DVD checks the norm maybe that isn't an
issue any more?
I've painted the '65 notch back, the GT 350, the GT 500 and the '69 Boss 302, because
I love them all.
But the GT 390 is my all time dream car.

Nack had preview shots, and the car looked freakin' brilliant! It's the only car
that turns me into a raving GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!!

Cheers.

Perhaps not one with the drivers helmet sticking out the roof though??

A couple of months ago I´ve promised pics of an spanish made Seat 131 2100 Group 5, as far as I know it only raced at Spain and never crossed its frontiers. Seat created this car in 1980, after leave the rallying program, but Seat helped one rally driver, Ricardo "Rizos" Muñoz to drive a 124 Gr. 5 at the spanish rally championship. Here´s a picture of the 131 (I only find one or two)

That is a really nice one. Makes me wonder If I should do the 1965 version of Cooper 970 S. 1968 variant is proabably wayy too fast to run against this one.

SAAB 96 with DKW licensed 3 cylinder 2 stroker would make excelent competitor. ( I had even all permissions for the project converting one from Rally trophy, but the project never took off)

There's a lot of interesting cars in Rally Trophy and i've often wondered what they'd look like in GTL. Are they difficult to convert and are they worth the effort?

Quick and dirty conversions probably are not that hard, but make it properly (at least to me this is the only way) they take time almost as much as making car from scratch.

You are correct. Only the mesh is used, and that is the difference between making from scratch and conversions.
I hope someday I'll be able to make meshes. Probably when GTL5 comes...

This is a serious underestimation of the time spent modeling. If you can also recycle textures - and there is no reason why you would not if they are good - converting takes much less time than scratch building.
