Ok, maybe a newbie question, but I've seen a ScreenShots folder in my \SimBin\RACE 07\UserData that's is created by default (or seems so), but no idea how to take screenshots ingame, without using external programs or tools I mean.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've tried F12 key a couple of days ago and don't seems to work (but ok, probably I've made something in the wrong way
), I've already checked the control settings before opening this thread but I've not found the assigned key for screenshots, maybe I've missed it so I want to check again next time.

Have not found key assignment in control settings menu too, but tried F12 key again and now works, a "screenshot saved" message appears on screen and the screenies are in the correct folder. No idea why it not happened before...
![]() Thanks again for the tip. |

I hit the "F Lock" key when watching replays and want the "cockpit" camera. So, I usually have to reset the "F Lock" key to use F12 or PrtScn for a screen save. Last edited by carham; 23 February 10 at 16:26. |

There are a number of undocumented features in R07, mostly on the dedicated server. There is this:
My Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\ScreenShots But I've never seen an assigned 'screenshot' key in the setup. But also, there's holding down the 0/Ins numpad key when watching a replay - it makes it fo slo-mo. What's the F-lock key? I have num lock and scroll lock keys, but no F-lock key..... |

Bear in mind that Steam has a screenshot function now, so if you're using the online/Steam version of Race 07 then Steam's screenshot function is bound to F12 by default. Though I can't remember whether you have to turn it on in the settings or not.

f you having problems finding the right keys in steam then I suggest using (pressing at the same time)...
Ctrl+Alt+Prt Scr this will take a snap shot of the desktop, then go into paint or photoshop and paste in a new window. |

Why Ctrl+Alt? You can just press Prt Scrn and then paste.

Yes, Prt Scrn works, but you have to go right to Paint and save it. You can't "store" up screen shots, exit the game, go into Paint, and have them all there.
I believe the game screenshot can be done multiple times and they all go into the screenshot folder, never having to leave the game to save it to disk. |

In one of the two modes (F-Lock key) I can use the PrtScn key in the game (and replays) to switch quickly back to the cockpit view from some other view. In this mode screen captures don't happen, and I never can remember which mode it's in when I start taking screenshots. I apologize for not making that clear to begin with.
