I don't seem to be able to select the Marcos - the mini and TCR are there but no Marcos. I've re installed it now but no luck. Is there some dumb thing I'm doing wrong here
![]() EDIT: D'OH! It was indeed something dumb - GTC-65 not TC

Couple of short tests of the Marcos & 1275 resulted in laps of 1.16.0 & 1.16.1 respectively. Should get in the 1.15s with a few more laps.

Only tried 1 car so far, can never resist the TCR Abarth
....best lap so far a 1.15.4....but looks like the cars are very even for the AI, so should be a good event |

I had a major problem with the Marcos tonight. All was going fine untill you joined up Jim, my Fps shot down to 20-22 and the my wheel started jittering quickly
I left and rejoined and my FPS was fine again - untill I loaded up the setup I'd just been using then the same thing happened Tried again with another skin - same problem - even rebooted and there was still no change. Swapped to the Mini and it was fine - but I was disappointed as the Marcos seemed to give me a lot more feedback through the wheel than the Mini - hope I can get it sorted for WNR - any ideas Jim?Frex, a little before you tapped me my nephew was banging on the front door which put me off big time as I slewed all over the road. After a number of expletives I just stopped to get up and answer the thing - pain in the butt that lad. I was only in 12th or 13th so it was no great loss Had some great battles with Burki, Lade and Dan too amongst others - great fun - but I'd have much prefered the Marcos.

Being a bit of a Mini fan, I quite enjoyed that
. Had a battle in the early laps with Kimi, Cap & Raz & got up to 3rd for a few laps until I ran a bit wide at the final turn & dropped back to 5th. Cap & Kimi were now about 3s ahead & try as I might I couldn't close the gap. Eventually caught up with Cap when he went off at the hairpin & we had a few close laps until I couldn't stop at T1 & bumped Cap into a spin . Sorry Cap.While I waited for Cap to rejoin Petemate went past. A lap later Cap went off at T1 & I chased in vain after Petemate for the last few laps. I think the Abarth maybe a fraction too fast for the Minis, but it may just be that we need a bit more time to set up & get used to the newer cars. I wasn't totally happy with the setup I had for the Mini Marcos, it was a bit too sharp on lift-off turn-in but was reluctant to turn-in with the brakes on which made it difficult to be consistent. Will give it another go on Wednesday. Congrats to Daz, John & Kimi.

Had half-hour practice in a car i've never driven before and i guess it showed, as i took out 3 different ppl..
Apologies to Penny (not too bad that one, only a couple of places and not much time lost), Jim (think you may have taken a wrong turn getting back on track and got dq'd? Anyway, it ended your race..) and Malcolm (thought everyone took that kink flat! Waited for you but you seemed to be heading off in the wrong direction - maybe you left it in gear while you answered the door?). Poor show on my part, apologies to all. |

I did put the Marcos folder in TC-65 by mistake first - ran Car tools right afterwards - then realised my dumb mistake. Don't suppose that would have anything to do with it. I'll re install car tools and the Marcos anyway for the sake of it. I'll try and show up on the server at 6.30 - thanks for that Jim
EDIT: I found out what the problem was with this car... thought it a corrupt setup file.. but no ... it small bug in the physics - the rear anti roll bar setting. Put it to full (as mine was) and it has a strange effect on the car, the FFB and the FPS try it your selves. Each time I turned it down a notch the effect lessened untill around about halfway (can't remember the exact value) but that's it - fixed. Last edited by Malcolm Reynolds; 4 October 11 at 18:45. |
