The VLN Nordschleife Enduro is back! After a successful first race a couple of years ago, we've decided to give it a try again, using the VLN 2005 Mod. Well be utilizing four classes, SP3, SP9, N3 and V4 (see the Classification thread for specific models). The format will be a single 2 hour Endurance race, which ensures everyone will have to pit at least once. We'll be utilizing the same layout as the real VLN events, which means the Nordschleife Tourist course PLUS the Grand Prix track, and using the Grand Prix starting grid and pits. The cars in each class are relatively close in speed, but really winning is going to have more to do with consistency and smoothness than outright pace.

In order to give everyone a chance to get some useful qualifying laps in, we'll be holding two Qualifying sessions, one on Saturday night from 9:00 to 10:00 PM EST, and one again before the race on Sunday night. Because it's a 2-hour race, we'll be starting a bit early. Qualifying will begin at 8:30 PM EST and will be only 45 minutes long, so if you feel you need more time to get a solid lap in around the Green Hell, you'd best show up both nights.

Driver and Car Classification thread is now open. As of the MOMENT, car choice is limited by numbers. If for some reason we run out of cars and someone desperately wants one that's taken, we'll discuss it when the time comes. Unlike our usual HGT series, drivers will not be broken up by speed or skill level--pick whatever you want to drive and come have fun!

hey! whats the max starting grid positions? also could you explain the EST times for us who live GMT +1?

42 is our maximum, but I'd really like to keep it under 40 for stability reasons. Still lots of spots left so far though.

EST is uuuuuh... GMT - 5 I think.

Thank you-I've been itching to do some more online Ring driving (vs. the AI is depressing when they'll neatly and happily tuck in behind a slower-class car...for an entire lap).
