This thread provides all the information regarding race format, points system and calendar events for season four. We will be doing a shorter season than recent seasons using the Porsche Supercup mod.
Porsche Supercup mod http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=17676 Race Calendar 1) 31st March 2012 - Imola Gp 2004 - Stock game track 2) 7th April 2012 - Watkins Glen - http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=2183 3) 21st April 2012 - Hungaroring - http://www.nogripracing.com/details....nr=7040&page=1 4) 28th April 2012 - Dubai Gp - Stock game track 5) 12th May 2012 - Interlagos - http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=5962 6) 26th May 2012 - Jarama Gp - http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=16400 7) 2nd June 2012 - Mosport - http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=33344 8) 16th June 2012 - Silverstone Gp 2011 - http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=34800 All dates and tracks subject to review. POINTS SYSTEM The points system has been kept the same as it was in season three. 1st 30 pts 2nd 26 pts 3rd 23 pts 4th 20 pts 5th 17 pts 6th 14 pts 7th 12 pts 8th 10 pts 9th 8 pts 10th 6 pts 11th 5 pts 12th 4 pts 13th 3 pts 14th 2 pts 15th 1 pt Everybody will drop their lowest total points finish, effectively allowing us all to miss one race without too much of a points hit. To be classified for points you must finish the lap on which 80% of the total race distance takes place. WEIGHT/SUCCESS BALLAST: In order to make the events closer success ballast will be given to cars as follows. 1st - 30kg 2nd - 25kg 3rd - 20kg 4th - 15kg 5th - 10kg Weight ballast is cumulative up to a maximum of 60kg. Weight will be added based on a drivers finishing position in the previous two rounds he has taken part in. Due to the Porsche cars being slower than the GT1's we have previously used the weight ballast has been reduced for each event. RACE LENGTH, TIME ETC 15 minute quali session commences at 19:30 UK time (currently GMT) Races commence at 19:45 UK time. Races will be 45 minutes in length. As all the cars are technically the same just pick your favourite livery to race with! All of the above is a work in progress. If anyone has an suggestions or idea's regarding any of the above please post below before we set dates for the season to commence. Last edited by jayblue; 13 May 12 at 14:25. Thread updated - post any suggestions or questions below.
After running GT1 for a few seasons i think we need a change. For next season i am interested in LMP cars but tbh i have no motivation to test out lots of different mods, or any experience at editing the necessary files. If anyone would like to help in this regard in preparation for next season please post it up or PM me. |

Please contact H@l9000 from UKGTR about LMP2 mod. We had the cars well balanced and the season was tense to the last race.

Supercup 2008 is a great mod, but I'm not good at it (cause it's a Porsche), but I'll try my best.

Can I join?
Is it simulation mode? TC/ABS "low" allowed? I play on keyboard, any problem for you guys? In case of experience is needed, I did some online races with P1, P2 and GT (driving GT's) on track. Last edited by Kalinin; 19 March 12 at 13:53. |

The server is set to simulation mode with traction control and ABS disallowed. The only aid we allow is auto clutch. But if you are capable of keeping on the road and racing clean with the keyboard then you are welcome to join in - a wheel is much better though!

I know, but can't buy one now. They are very expensive in Brasil.
I'll join then! No problem driving this mod without aid. Thanks! |

Kalinin I played season 1 and 2 with a keyboard here no problem.
The supercup mod in particular was very easy for me to drive with keyboard as they don't have loads of power or oversteer - you shouldn't be at too much of a disadvantage. But take it from a veteran keyboarder....get a wheel!! |

Don't know, WPS, it's just the way they handle and the fact that you can't change very much setups wise.
Will join for the company and see if I can race anyone here but I won't be hotlapping on my own.

Just did my first laps ever on this mod and I have to say that it's quite good..... good means that the car likes going sideways and only little understeer on corner entry. Brakebalance set to 100% F51/R49 is great fun... not fast but fun going sideways.
![]() For me it's not a problem that the setup is mostly locked. I'm not good on making setups so realy don't matter to me. ![]() See you guys at the track. P.S Since GT teamie Truetom is not going to do full season I could join someone's team. Anyone interested?? |

Is a pit stop again mandatory?
Is it normal that there is no way to change the dampers, springs, gears? Last edited by Skenys; 25 March 12 at 16:21. |

Many of the settings for car setup are fixed and cannot be changed. This makes the car more friendly for newer racers of those who only have limited time to make a good setup.

To be honest for these cars, a shorter circuit > longer circuit. No idea how that translates in Watkins Glen lay-out.

hmm just drove long (GP with the busstop I think)
Scrap my original request - either long or GP would be better. Awesome car for this track! ps. I think this version is scaled to like... Monster trucks! No way some of these corners are 4th gear, but they are!!! Which is why it's fun! I just think the short circuit would provide a great race, and this seasons calendar has no more short sprinty type circuits after this one - but the long track is very fun. |

Yeah i view of Watkins maybe we need to review the schedule somewhat. I set the tracks based on peoples suggestions in the pre season threads - what would everyone like to see replace Barca?

Supercup races exclusively at Grand Prix circuits - they hit the limiter too.
I vote for Hungary, Monaco or Magny Cours!!! |

To be honest Jay - we'll be getting to the limiter almost everywhere - Interlagos for sure, Mosport for sure, Silverstone probably on Hangar.
I say leave the calendar how it is, doesn't damage the engine and we're all the same. |

I hate driving on limiter. It's not racing or driving. Dubai and Barcelona I know for sure are goin to be tracks where we would be driving on limeter for a long time.
I have some proposals for tracks to replace Barcelona and Dubai. Oshimizu Japan, drove just 3 laps and love it. ![]() Misano 2002, narrow since it's a bike track Circuit Tremalito, bumpy but extremely fun Charade 2009, great elevations VLM Rouen 1974-1994, here we hit the limiter very promptly Jops Siffert, nice fast flowing coeners GPL Mont Juich, here we hit the limiter very promptly All tracks except Tremalito are new to me so drove just 2.....6 laps to find out does they have the limiter problem. Don't know if any of them have any bugs but for me every track worked fine. |
