Hi All,

My iRacing sub is up next month and i just havent had the time to race on it as expected. Tbh I couldnt really get to grips with it I found it very lacking in sound and the cars feeling poor on road, Oval wasnt to bad but I dont want to drive that style.

Looking at Rfactor2 Graphics look very nice for a Beta, the sounds amazing, my only questions are about the online multiplayer side.

1. How many laps can you set ie a full race 50+ laps including pit stops tyre choice etc

2. How many players can join ? 16 ? 24? 32?

3. Damage, can you wreck ?? If so are there any penalties for stupid drivers?

4. I am UK based, can you point me in the direction of good leagues with mature gamers who want to race as clean as is possible, incidents happen of course but you no my meaning.

AFAIK, you can setup full race distances and farther.

2. How many players can join ? 16 ? 24? 32?

As many as your server can hold, I believe the most common max is 36(?)

3. Damage, can you wreck ?? If so are there any penalties for stupid drivers?

Damage isn't fully implemented yet.

rF2 is too far from prime time as far as online racing goes. Since it's still in Beta you'll likely have a hard time finding leagues. And there is no penalty system in place for poor driving, and the wreckers are already online.

I've seen servers set for over 100 drivers. I don't know if anywhere near that CAN actually join, but I saw the server online. I've been in rooms with 30. There are pubbies out there but they suck. I've tried a couple today and it's the same BS with hyper-aggressive A-holes who think being 5 feet behind is close enough for a pass. The AI is improving but still not good.

In pit stops I'm not sure if you can set the type of tire you want to put on, but you can set a pit stop strategy.

I have had no luck finding a rf2 league. If I find one that runs at a time that's good for me, I'll join in a heartbeat. I have a league but we aren't active right now and no one seems to want to give rf2 a go for a season. My server is up often but no one stops by-but most online servers are empty.

It's a beta. And it has very little content, so give it time and renew your iRacing.

it is little late, but in race2play.com there start a league (series) tomorrow.
the races are in around 8.00 or 8.15 oclock german time (i think, or british time, not sure always forgot) and are 60min.
the cars are the nissan GT1 and GT4 in multclass races,
the distance is 60min. with changeable weather.
tracks are the tracks, which you can drive with the endurance GT mod., think malaysia, palm beach and perhaps 2 or 3 other.
not extra mod. in r2p is, that you can drive all tracks with every car.
so everything very much orginal and nothing extra to download.

there start a formula ford (oh, man, not sure what name of this car) league too
and there start a league with the old formula cars too.
think both do have sunday as raceday, but not sure, i do not like open wheel cars, so i do not much care about this.

in Racedepartment, there are club (fun) races with rfactor 2, not sure how much each week, but any.
but you must always download and install a EXTRA mod. that you can drive the cars (variable) on the track (little dump this is in rfactor2, must be changed if finished game comes)

in bockbierbude there are each friday a fun races with rfactor2 (or perhaps more often??, not sure, not a bude specialist i am)
in bockbierbude, there is a exactly way, how you must download and install everythink that you can drive each car in every track, very good explain.

this are the main leagues (series) which i do know that rfactor2 is used often. (but sure will be more)

but online public it is not realy much action actual and for sure the usual much accidents (like it is in each racegame in public servers)
so leagues (clubs) are always much better.
