I may not be able to make the race tonight, in the event that I don't make it please could one of the guys who are in a Porsche 911S but not using a skin that's been added take my skin (it's the one with #53 on it) and test it to make sure there's no issues (shouldn't be any though).
Thanks. |

It's lucky I've done a bit of practice here, I'd completely forgotten the race was this week, thought it was next week.

very sad Daz, real bummer.
I made too many mistakes, had a great fight with Zsoca in the Mini and far behind the top guys. 4th is great for me now that the Nissans don't change tires anymore. Hats off guys. I hope there will come a race that I can stay with you. Cale's pace is amazing. Again I was surprised at how T last was taken, way over the curb for many fast cars. It threw me off. |

race report:
started 29th because i kicked off several times from the server don't know why. I think my internet disconnected at qual session more than once. therefore, can not qualify (I was 7th before my connection lost.) gained so many places because of the mistakes done by the people in front. at lap 18 pit stop and change tires. I eventually finished 9th which was superb when starting from behind. last couple of laps were challenging and fun for me cause I passed Clemens just before the last lap 9th was unacceptable, I was hoping a better result I hope we race at Bahrain. There is no risk that the race is sabotaged in our digital platform ![]() hey Jason where were you last night, i hope everything is OKour team needs some points cause all i can do is 9th |

Apologies to any of the reserve drivers, I fell asleep mid afternoon and missed the race (I suffer very badly from insomnia and keep very odd hours, as some may have noticed) and didn't get a chance to notify anyone so someone could take my place.
I hope to be at the next round. |

IF Bahrain gets boycotted, we'll race in some other track. (most likely some old F1 Venue wayyy back in time.) I will announce the eventual venue in race invitation, which is published in saturday latest.
as for the race, it could have been better. did a lot mistakes, getting stop and go in 3rd last lap being biggest one. Had some bad luck as well, pitted in lap 13 (to avoid possible rush in pits in lap 14) just to find out that I had shared pit box and another driver was already there. had to wait him to get back on track before I got pit stop done. had excelent fight with Psyfungi and wilb in 6-7 first laps. That was the best part of the race. unofficial alternative championship situation is available here: *CLICK* EDIT: Quote:
we have now 36 drivers in points, so I doubt the server getting full anytime soon.

Just an opinion on lapping people.
I am very impressed by the way people are aware of fast cars coming up behind. But sometimes I get the feeling that people think they have to just get out of the way completely to let others by and they lose a LOT of time and rhythm in doing so. If that's really what you want continue. But, the faster guys know that you are in the race too (same goes for qualy) and even if there is no competitor in sight for you, you still might be in a chrono race with some dude elsewehere on track and might need those extra seconds in the end. Just want to say, race your race and the oncoming traffic will have to find it's way around. The in my view normal small adjustments to braking and taking a bit wider lines in slow turns to let people by are executed in an impressive pro way. Kudos NG. PS What works well for me in qualy. If I close in on a car and I can be faster I try to wait at least till the finish line. Most of the times the slower car makes room for the next lap because you have let him alone on what might become his fastest lap. |

Firstly my apologies to SeniorLobo, who I punted off, yes.... in the 1st lap
and put us both from the top 10 right back to the high teens. No excuses, just stupid driving on cold tyres - I should know better by now The rest of my race was very exciting, often part of a group of 4 or 5 all battling for position - great stuff. When I first started practicing here I hated the track. Like something scribbled on the back of an envelope - but I've grown to like it strangely. Was hoping for a much better finish position (As I'm sure did SeniorLobo - thanks to me) but it was still all great fun and I'm looking forward to the next race already. Sorry to hear about your disco Daz, I'd have gone mental had that happened to me |

Thanks for the words about lapping people. I do not know who it was anymore, but there was a guy wanting to lap me, and I went off the gas pedal just in the same moment, when he went very near to my ass for using the wind shadow, I didn't except he 'll come that close to do so, so he ran into my back.
I was a little bit worried about the situation and thought about, whose fault it hs been, sad, that it was position 2and 3 who were battling hard at this time, both ran into each other.. I truely couldn't remember which car it was, when I waited a few seconds, because a lot other cars come across me, so after a while, I decided to race on.. I am sorry for this situation I think after rethinking this the lappers would have taken me in the next few corners. Sometimes people do headlights flashing, when they lap people, which I will ignore in the future. I always give room, if possible. There was another situation, when somebody glued to my back right behind me and wanted to go to the pits, passing me on the same side. I was so close at the right border, saw that the blue light is flashing, but could not find out where he was. This caused another silly situation, where we both had luck. Stupid crashes at the beginng in front of me, made me feel like an unlucky racer, but I had nearby no training again and this is my own problem, so heads up for the next race and better preparations. BTW it was fun to race with you all again, cu next time. |

CasparGTL, it's a pleasure to read posts like yours, a true gentleman on track
This time i was closer to other Alfa drivers than previous races. I took a little advantadge of the first lap mess, however i bumped into someone who suddenly appeared right in front of me at turn 2, as a result of that i suffered a slightly damage on front suspension the entire race. Mostly i spent the time on track fighting to keep position, which was really funny and challenging ![]() I need to check the replay because during last lap i saw in the mirror how FLA$H spun when he was about to overtake me. I think it wasn't my fault, but first i need to check this out to be entirely sure. Cheers De Martini Last edited by bluemaz; 12 April 12 at 13:04. |

My apologies to seniordan. When I tried to re-enter to the track, I hit him. Very sorry. ![]() After that incident, a little nervous trying to gain positions quickly. When going in 11th position I was penalized with a sng and my options to finish in the top 10 died there. Still, it was a fun race with lots of interesting fights. ![]() See you at the next race. regards Last edited by senyorlobo; 13 April 12 at 06:12. |

The way the field tried to squeeze itself through the T/2 combo wonīt win the sensible racerīs award. Letīs please remember that thereīs lots of laps to go for good battles and letīs try and do the first three or four corners in a neat and tidy way.
In this particular incident L4D4īs Commodore got a nudge that sent him spinning which cost him and quite a few other drivers a lot of positions and they possibly had some damage too. I didnīt see anybody waiting. Thatīs strange. No, thatīs bad ! Letīs all try to do better the coming races. Cheers, Dan ps. Senyorlobo, no problem could have happened to anyone.

two next races aren't going to be much better, Bahrain and Catalunya both have long straights ending in narrow right-left chicane. If there's need, I will watch the replays and call for a jury if needed. |

Race report....
Ended up at the rear of the grid in 30th place, but a reasonable start saw me gain a few places before turn 1, I was not far behind Wilb when Mai Por missed the braking point and spun him, and was in fine position to see the carnage in turn 2 with Lades car directly facing me as I turned in . Got through pretty much unscathed, and started to make my way past some cars over the next handful of laps. Good battles with Geoffers and Von Burki, and there looked to be groups of guys having good action throughout the field as I made my merry way through. Was thinking Caspar and Zsoca was going to be a hard pair to pass, but Caspar had a spin in T1, and I just moved past Zsoca on the straight a couple of laps later, so no problems there. I'd now luckily found my way to 4th place, and was none too far behind Cap and John, Cale was already way up the road and gone though. Was a podium possible.... I'd been very light on my tires all race, there had been no massive wear in practise apart from the front left, so was really looking after that one, but I was still bringing the gap down slowly. Cale pitted, then a couple of laps later John was in, then a couple of laps later myself and Cap were in together. He had the better stop though, I lost about 3 seconds on him I think, but came out thinking I could at least apply some pressure. I think John had put his foot down a bit at this time, he was nowhere in sight (XD had crashed earlier on), so 3rd was my only aim. Started closing in quite rapidly, 1.5 to 2 seconds a lap, but then the disco happened with 2 and a half laps left I think so that was the end of my run....was really, really, really annoyed after the effort of coming from last on the grid, 4th disco in 5 races so my ISP has had a difficult time this week.... Looking at how it all plays out, it seems the KGC110 has a bit more in quali than I can get out of the Skyline, but bring in to account tire wear in race and the correct pace to save them and the story changes a bit. Cale and the 911 were untouchable here though, superb pace in quali and race mate, and a word for Jotapu who found some serious pace in quali also....Cales Garage soon to be taking major points I think....still think you could give the team trophy to JDW already though . Great to see a large grid of cars with a big percentage of finishers againAs for me, I just want to finish..... On another note, I'm hoping Bahrain is cancelled, it's a dreadfully dull track just like China, and 2 in a row is just not right, and I bet Nappe has got far better tracks up his sleeve... |

I agree that those Asian new tracks aren't fun. Some left right at Shanghai felt like bad corners in an old city track that can't be helped. Dreadful. And that last turn, what's that??? I could think of umpteen better tracks for these cars. But I'll happily try my best at any track.
