Is there any chance to use the standart (original) KI in this mod from juls?
If not, i'm gonna try the zzmod KI. |

is recommended i guess
for steering you could try higher sensitivity / deadzone and speed steering sensitivity (can even start from 100% then go lower until it doesn't feel sluggish at high speed)

is it normal that the car win spin if you shift down?
i can shift down and double-declutch because im using g25 and my chair will roll backwards^^. does anyone know how to fix it, without activating auto clutch? i want to set all driving aids off. and btw: will the dinput8.dll change anything but the steering, FFB and the inputlatency? can't you use overhaul's dinput8.dll? Too sharp for my taste (move the wheel 1mm left or right and you lose control of the car) and that dll is not compatible with DFGT (wheel shaking).

Feedback:
...stock low powered cars sliding around like they're on ice and have mad 1000hp engines and no tires while doing 40km/h....crashing eachother all the time and rolling over in the air when turning... hell, i started last, i got laped, i tried to drive the car to the finish line without doing 8s all the time, and still i finished 2nd because everyone else couldnt even go straight, or stay on the ground...! and you call this "great"? nice...i guess none of you has driven not even one of the cars in the game? or a car on a track generaly? you've overdone it juls...that's not simulation. sorry. |

From long experience, 90% users who complained about "move the wheel 1mm left or right and you lose control of the car" did not apply properly the wheel settings explained in the readme, which are vital for this mod. Mixing the mod with other mods which decrease the overall grip level is a very common issue too.
Many others do not like it, and that's perfectly OK with me. But please do not say we did not drive the cars. There was a lot of testing involved in this mod, tyre by tyre, car by car. And I hate sims when you lose control all the time. So trust me, this mod is very grippy at low speeds. If not, there is a problem somewhere with install/controller config. The main complain from hardcore sim racers is that this mod is TOO grippy. At low speed, grip level in this mod is higher than in default game, you will never spin at 40kph unless you use the handbrake and turn brutally at the same time. Main limitations with this mod is that AI cars do not like it and become instable at high speed and flip over at low speed because they can not cope with a strong initial grip decreasing when speed increase (like IRL), and dll is not compatible with all wheels (in this case simply delete the dll). This mod is for players who enjoy more a practice or time attack than fighting against AI. Handling is the primary focus, AI was slightly touched. Thank you for your attention. I have the same problem mentioned above with all the a.i. cars losing control and tumbling through the air constantly... Any suggestions? Or is this normal
with this mod?

It took me a while to fine tune everything, that's for sure. But once I deleted the d8input.dll and dialed in my settings, this is the most fun driving game I've ever played. I hate a super arcadey game and true sims just aren't fun to me.
Juls, this is a JOY to drive. You absolutely have to be on your game while driving but you can get away with more than you can in, say, iRacing (single mistakes equal spins). I can't thank you enough. This makes Shift 2 look like an absolute joke. THANK YOU!! |

Was a terrible shame with this game. Looks beautiful but was not enjoyable due to the control problems for G25 (and other wheels). Tried various dinput8 hacks to fix the floaty handling / controller lag / gaping steering deadzone on my G25
So ....... a huge thanks to juls for the fix that seems to fixed everything. cheers !!!! |

Tried more than a few times, just not feeling it. Feels like I am drive through a huge pile of mashed potatoes, feed back. Sometime more is bad (damper effect)? wheel should move freely once you get to speed. Thanks for all your hard work though. You guys rock. I know you all have done lots of work on other stuff with great success.
