Default Sachsenring 1967 for GT Legends by DerDumeklemmer

Sachsenring 1967 GTL V1.0
==========================

Andre Streu spend ~1,5 years to build this masterpeace for GPL.
- MY BIGGEST RESPECT FOR THIS KIND WORK -

Ron Zurnetz started a coversion to GTL but interrupted since he
was busy with some private issue.

In 04/2007 I joined the conversion project, restructured all objects,
improved some textures, added PitIn-/-Out-&Starting Lights,
fixed some geometry gaps and so on.

Since this conversion was far beyond my level of skills in 3d mesh moddeling
I asked GTI-Heizer for help who did a prefect job in re-doing all the meshwork,
improving additional textures and even adding additional objects for this conversion.

Greybrad created a perfect AIW, Luigi build the outstanding TV-Cams and Mc_Wolf
implemented the animated marshals.

Finally GTI-Heizer finished the GTR2 verision which was re-converted to GTL afterwards.

Thanks a lot for this track.

...but now the community needs a Trabant

that would be great a 2-stroke engine in GTL.

WOW! What a 'history' behind 'this build'! Won't be able to get on it until tomorrow, but really looking forward to doing so.

Thanks to all involved in advance...

Where you'll find all his perfect GTR2 versions: www.pilsbierbude.de

..guess Heizer could explain, a totaly senseless complain about a soundfile which makes his way into his perfect VW-Golf-GTI MOD forced him to publish his conversions on our site only to prevent such behavior from outside again...

cheers,
Uwe

if you're talking about Tants's GP course there is no need to delete it.
It's a different track, 1967 is a countryside course and will incooperate with Tantras GP version.

Uwe

I don't know if I should download that track because I already have a Sachsenring67 version from NoGrip and obviously this one is also based on the GPL AddOn track. What are the differences to this version?

that makes me wonder, as far as I know there is no other Sachsenring 1967 for GTL.

Sachsenring 1967 is the 8.7 km countryside course (the GPL milestone of Andre), not the modern racetrack (one of the fantastic scratch builds of Tantra)...

cheers,
Uwe

I love driving on your tracks, the attention to detail is the best. I probably should complain though since I spend so much time admiring the scenery, my driving is poor

Ron Zurnetz was converting the track for GTL, but retired, shortly after I joined him to give some help with the textures...so I was kicked because of the mesh issues.
Nonetheless...I look here on Nogrip, and what do I see?
That is just impressive work, just look at my video down below!

When I come home, I'll try this...racing over the streets that I drive every day to work^^
In GTL it is the second Nordschleife for me, throughout the original Sachsenring track was founded in 1927. And, like at the Nordschleife, at race speed, you would s**t your pants by driving the real track^^

The video:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jFs4fKBMpBI

Maybe I should comment, that the track looks really accurate, Objects tex made with real-foto textures!

@DerDumeklemmer: Ron released an Alpha-Track, that was posted in the Nogrip-forum. He also released some fixes for that.

A 2.stroke engine would be nice, but i sknow it tooks a lot of hard work to do the modeling and fisics.
Anyhow I remeber the famous DKW 1000, an the Wartburgs racing on the 60's.

Nice sound....lot of smoke, rmps and no compression!

Regards.

Default A work of art...

...but what else should we expect from you.

I usually drive in third difficulty level and was not able to win a race yet (had once the fastest lap, though), but I'm determined to do so.

The scenery looks great, the track is great, the little bumps are great, the whole package is awesome. This track already is one of my favorites. Since I discovered LeMans1967 on altbierbude.de, my GTL has turned into some sort of "Le Mans Legends", but this track will reverse that tendency.

Thank you so much, rainer

Magnificent thank you.

I've been trying to register on the pilsbierbude site to download the GTR2 version but I never receive the email to activate the registration.

Is there another site or way to download it?

Yep, same here, thanx for this track. IMO it is absolutely beautiful.
U get to drive thru town & country with smooth elevation changes--
what more would a racer want?
If there was an award winning category like over at rFactor central
for great tracks-- this one would definitely get my nomination, Uwe.

Hi Uwe!
There is another GTL version of this...and I do think you are correct. It is by Andre2. When I saw GTI's link to his site, I instantly deleted the "older" one, and grabbed Peter's, which is one of my top three rated tracks.
Yes the two tracks are not the same, even though they have the same name.
