There was some debate last night about this trailer, but it was apparently confirmed this morning, Forza Horizon releasing in fall 2012.
I don't have any info on what it will be, and there is no in game footage in this video, but rumblings are that this may be a Forza sandbox, possibly like the Test Drive Unlimited where you can go anywhere you like? http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/for...izon_announce/ |

That sounds damn intrigueing. GTP had loads of talk about a GT free roam game....will T10 beat PD to it?

Given it's being developed by another studio it might end up being like NFS Shift vs.
NFS The Run. Still, I'm interested in hearing more. |

NFS World or the old Motor City Online were some others. Nothing I'd be interested in.

the game is being made by former Codemasters staffers that worked on Dirt, grid and f12010. A group of former workers went of and created Playground Games after a falling out with Codemasters.

Based on what I've seen from E3 coverage yesterday it looks a bit like a combination of NFS,Test Drive and PGR mashed into one game with Forza physics and Forza style. Dunno if that's bad or good, but it will probably be different in many ways.
Lets just hope that the Colorado location includes some wide open freeways to push the fastest cars past 240 mph for more than a few seconds at a time. |

Atm I'm not 100% sure what to think about this game. +Atleast basic Forza games were starting to get boring after driving same cars and tracks for 7 years so it is good that they are at least trying something new. +Old Need4Speed games (nfs1-2) used to be good so its good that someone is doing the same with proper handling. -Unfortunately all interesting race cars might be gone.. -Bonus for crashing around? ![]() -NFS Prostreet/NFS Shift/Dirt Showdown style never ending party with glitter and fireworks. +++Oh and Forza on gravel sounds epic!

I like the basic concept (road cars + not 'just' race tracks)
However I don't see how that will please either Forza Fans nor people who don't really like the other Forzas ![]() Also not all normal road are that interesting, I don't need 4 or 6 lanes with traffic. I don't expect the Col de Turini but we'll see how challenging and excitting the actually driving / racing part will be ![]() @IWE: There are points for drifts, crashes and so on but on the other hand you can also just drive around, take photos and so on, which not everyone will enjoy. They also mentioned snow somewhere? |

I like the idea of an open road racing game with Forzas car detail and physics. Wont be a fan of drifting and crashing around for points, but I guess I don't have to do that if I don't want to. This game will be good for Turn 10 if it turns out right. That means more money in their pot for future game releases, like Forza 5
