Default I'm a newbie

The only sims I've played are iRacing and Race 07/GTR Evo. Both were pretty much plug and play.

Issues I'm having with rFactor.

1) Eyefinity... mainly with the bezels is not right. I tried running the game on my desktop resolution which has bezel compensation and it still didn't look right. Is there a simple guide how to set this up properly. Very hard to google this.

2) Wheel setup. I'm getting big understeer. My wheel rotation is set to 360 degrees which was perfect with GTR Evo (I use 900 for iRacing). Tried some wheel settings I found on another forum via googling, but I dunno still doesn't feel that great.

3) I installed the VLN 2005 mod which was the main reason for finally getting rFactor. Tried one of the races on it but I was just getting like 20 other cars all of which were the same class as me. I basically want to know how to run these races with ALL car classes at the official race length.

edit-I found the readme addresses my questions about the VLN mod (i think)... I'll see if I can get 3) working later.

These questions probably seem stupid, but this game seems SO unfriendly.

race 07 and rfactor is almost the same how to install/drag and drop cars and mods
it have more admin stuff then race 07 have

in rfactor you load a car in a race serie then offline goload a track then in chat write
ISI_BABYFACTORY klick enter and go out from track now rfactor unlock all cars so you can use all cars in that MOD/race serie

About wheel degree it is different between iracing race 07 and rfactor test different steerlooks instead of chance of chance wheel rotation

if you like drive offline you can set all settings as you wish x fuel x tyres to simulate a real race

unfriendly it not is it is just that you come from one simrace game to another is it hard much not works as the one you switch from but not give up rfactor 1 is still good and gtr2 still best when it comes to great psychics

to get mod tracks is http://www.rfactorcentral.com a good start to find mod and tracks

for rf1 and rf2

rfactor 1 have many setting so it is not just start up the game and play the setups to a car is a must even good wheel setups to the wheel or gamepad is a must to fit your drive style

you not feel the steering so good find real feel ffb addons and test how that feels if you like that better

and if you switch between iracing and rfactor it f up the wheel rotaion every time you go between this 2 games

Sounds like you're supposed to define a custom "oversize" screen when setting up eyefinity:

I have an eyefinity card, but run it on a single 2560x1600 monitor.

2. You dont say which wheel you have. Logitech wheels need to be set to
- xxx% for some reason. -100% being the strongest.
My G27 is set minus. See pic.

3. When you choose the track look for the opponent tab and you can choose which cars run. See pic.

Well I installed real feel and my feedback settings are correct. But it still feels like crap. I use 900 degrees on iracing but when I do that here, you can forget it. I have to turn the wheel about 360 degrees just for a basic corner.

When I cut down the wheel to 280 degrees it's more playable, but still horribly unresponsive and I need to use a lot of wheel input just for basic corrections. When driving I can still violently jerk the wheel back and forth and the car is still going more or less straight.

As for eyefinity. The link above did not help me. The bezels are still terribly off. Even when using my bezel compensated desktop resolution of 59xx x 1080 it still looks like there's no compensation at all. Tried different settings like native resolution with and without "multiview" and the bezel compensated resolution with and without multiview but it still looks way off.

Normally when I use my bezel compensated resolution with all other games it works fine but not with rFactor.

horribly unresponsive ?
hmm it is empty space in the wheel when steering so it feels like a old tractor ?
I think you need set degree on the wheel and test diferent settings from 180.200.240 and more + until you get the sterrings as you wish/like.

I have a G25 since it came out and i like hard FFB my degree i have on 200.

But i not set that in the logitech program.. i set it in the default program that regognise my wheel in windows 7

Here is 2 of my controller file setup i use.

Some mods need 100+ and some 100-

My G25 TrippTeamHardFFBControllerINI

http://rfactor.************:100/RFACTO...trollerINI.rar

I like hard FFB here is what i use .with this i also use Real Feel for smother stering less twitchy steering

http://rfactor.************:100/RFACTO...ugin_v0.92.zip

V 0.92 i like best RealFeelPlugin_0936 sucks.
