That is hard to perfect. But basic things like filtering invalid cars and tracks, naming errors, time typos, general readability checks could be possible (pretty much what I did manually with "my external Windows machine"
One idea I had was that there were an external Windows machice doing that stuff *automatically* (receiving submitted laps automatically from your web page/site) and if they were ok, they would be returned back for acception. This would mean some sort of quarantine time/delay.
I don't think I could do a linux port for my own tools because it's sooo long time a go I last time compiled *any* unix stuff (yes.. note: unix). Thats why I have that Windows machine suggestion there ; )
I have experimented with track cutting detection but at that time I didn't get it working well enough. I wasn't happy with it.
I even tried calculating HP from replays but that was a total failure. I definetely need physics help there ; ) Also I'm not convinced it would ever work as there's too many open questions.
