So I really don't know what you are talking about Gears?
All I want to do is play build 90 [I DID PAY MONEY TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT]. but my Updater will not update from build 69.
I am not going to drink the KOOL -Aid on this one.
I really did like rFactor 1 but I do not like the way rf2 is wanting to dump the onus on their customers to figure how how to install the updates
And it has become obvious here that I am not the only one having problems with the updates.
Obviously in hind sight I should have waited untill the final release in 2013
First, you need to calm down bro
No need to take such an attitude with me, I didn't program the software.
They have stated on the ISI forums (numerous times) that "automatic update" is not turned on yet so you must do it manually.
1. The updater will not automatically update from the internet. You need to download the update, put it in the "updates" folder, then use the launcher to update.
2. You can't update from build 69 to 90. Build 85 comes before build 90. That must be installed first if you are going go the update route.
But it's really simple man. Download the full build 90 and do a fresh install if you can't figure out the updates. I don't waste time with updates. I do fresh install every time a new build number comes out.
I know it's a bit confusing now, but ISI is working this out just like we are. They have totally changed their packaging system so they are working out the bugs with us, the testers.
If you want it to be get better, you need to tell them the problems you are having. They won't ban you
