The second is from the Mercedes Sl65 Black series....-____- this is undisputed, I know this as a FACT. Do you know how to fix them?? can you check your Italia?? What about the SL65 black series? |

I was actually dumb enough to pay for this on xbox 360 for shift 1. I would love to play these cars in shift 2 but I just dont know about unpacking the game. Is it worth it? I can kind of get my Ferrari fix on the xbox. But the graphics just dont look as good as shift 2 and there is no night time racing.

@ashestodust Unpacking the game is not hard if you follow the steps properly and I think is worth it, you get more great cars like these Ferrari here, 2012 GT3 cars and more Lamborghini for your game.

right the 458 looks pretty decent now with it's fixed mirrors!! Heck I even think the body modelling now looks better!!! Well Nowthat the BMW m5-f10 has been released with the mtsubish eclipse we have to wait 2 weeksfor a new mod
we really need more people taking the reigns

Ok... since i am new to this forum, i would like to ask for some help here.I never added any new cars to my shift2 unleashed yet.Downloaded the ferari pack,but don't know how to activate.
There is also NO mods folder in my game installation..Do i have to create a new folder or something? Can someone please help? Last edited by mitsoswu; 17 June 12 at 11:21. |

When the 458 had a darker sides glitch, I asked and got no response....so I figured it out myself...modified the Loda & lodb body files with forza ones changing UVs and materials. JYdougNY was kind enough to help us out with the LOD problems with the 458, and in the process he helped me learn how to fix the load order in the vhf.bml files.....I've actually learnt something. No I don't think that makes me a "master modder".....but at least I bother going through the forums before posting up an issue...unlike above. You could have easily ignored my posts but you thought that I had to be put to my place??? I don't think I have any more rights over anyone else on this forum. I just voice my opinion, the above post isn't offensive. it's a warning to get they guy to check the forums....maybe I was wrong to use someone else's name as an example, but then again you don't know the whole story do you? |

I don't know but i'd like too see the person who was born soo smart,that don't need explanations! Damn..you can live 100 years, and you'll never learn not even 10% ,of what means life. So..let's help each other, and if someone is a little bit slower ,or younger,let's not be so bad with him/them. I ,when i started searching on google..modding threads, forums..to find mods for NFS..i didn't knew nothing ,i was..like a plant,and with the time, i started learning something,but not everything. Generally, i like the racing games, and sure, i like CARS,a lot,i have more than 10000 car pictures, and more than 1000 videos in my pc. As i was saying in a prevoius post ,i'd like to see in nfs ,as many cars as possible..with the help and work of everyone(RESPECT4THAT). Respect for all and good luck with your mods. PEACE! |

Same thing for me, i searched in all posts ,and i saw only that m12 was saying that he will search for a fix for superamerica blur, but for the logos problem ,nothing...sorry ,can't help you..me too having the same problems ,but for me aren't major problems.

hmmmm....so you've unpacked your game??? Did you temporarily relocate your save file....did you unpack on a clean install?? Don't use JGSME if it doesn't work just copy and place all the folders fresh out of the zip file. Copy to your unpacked shift 2 folder...in your c drive.. then add the lines to the vehicleslist document, vehicles_HUD.....etc?

One question only.Can i use any different tyre files for the ferraris? I have the ptm mod installed,all cars seem to use ~200 tyre pressure but ferraris use the stock ~50 pressure.Thanks |

AFAIK these issues have not been corrected. But the others (i.e. HUD problems etc.) are now fixed. Read the whole thread and apply all needed patches (i.e. download 'Attached Files')

Re-download the Ferrari pack-maybe a text document got screwed up the first time?? Re-install following the instructions down to the LAST word.. Paste save file back into the shift 2 folder in your my documents folder Note- Try not to use JGMSE, I know it's designed from ease of use but all it does when installing mods is essentially cut and paste the respective folders in their respective places....I've never used this. I highly recommend just pasting all files fond in the ferrari pack folders directly into the root folder of the unpacked game....If asked If you want to replace any files just say yes. MAKE SURE you have added the correct lines in the Vehicleslist.lst when a car does not appear in the Lot 90% of the time it's due to an incorrect entry in there. Even experienced people get frustrated when a modded car does not appear in their car lot...normally it's a vehicles list issue. To check if your entry is correct do the following- -check if your entry is in the correct alphabetical position in the document.( I highly doubt this does anything but it easily organises your cars so you can find them easily.....oddly I've actually done this to a car entry once and the next thing I knew It appeared in the LOT!" -Standard entries are in the following form. vehicles\Vehicle_Name\@Vehicle_Name.crd this can appear confusing to people who haven't familiarised themselvess very well with the unpacked games folder hierarchy. To put it simply in the unpacked game you will have a "vehicles" folder inside your shift 2 root folder. In this Vehicles folder each car in the game has it's respective folder (named after it's car name or similar to it) for example the ferrari FXX's folder is called "Ferrari_FXX". Each of these car folders contain Model, Audio and various other data (these are useful for the purpose of modding- but are of no concern to you). What you ARE interested in, in the folder is the CRD file which contains certain data about the car such as it's name, year of manufacture, price, what 3d models it uses etc. i highly recommend you go to one of these folders, open up a CRD file and scroll down-taking a look at all the fields. Anyways lets get back to the vehicles list entry- We'll use the FXX as an example. vehicles\Ferrari_FXX\@Ferrari_FXX.crd Notice that the first part "vehicles\Ferrari_FXX" the "vehicles\" part is common to every add-on car (and vanilla car) you want to add into the game. So check that. the "Ferrari_FXX\@Ferrari_FXX.crd" shows the folder of that respective add-on car and it's respective .crd file. make sure there is a \@ after you add the vehicle folder name and then add the name of the .crd. Obviously as you can see you need to add ".crd" behind it. The way the document works is that it's non-case sensitive so you don't need to bother changing the case of letters in any entry. I've said all of this but you've probably have entered correctly the entries since it's a simple copy and paste matter. Have you entered the following? vehicles\Ferrari_FXX\@Ferrari_FXX.crd vehicles\Ferrari_599\@Ferrari_599.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F50GT\@Ferrari_F50GT.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F430_GTC\@Ferrari_F430_GTC.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F430\@Ferrari_F430S.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F430\@Ferrari_F430SC.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F430\@Ferrari_SS_16M.crd vehicles\Ferrari_F430\@Ferrari_F430C.crd vehicles\Ferrari_Superamerica\@Ferrari_Superameric a.crd Check if your game is unpacked check that when you open your shift 2 root folder that there is a "vehicles" folder inside of it which contains folders for each of the cars in the game NOT bff files. do not mistake this for shift 2\pakfiles\vehicles Also if you have unpacked the game correctly most bff files in your pakfiles\vehicles folder will be 56 kb. due to being dummied out. ENSURE your game is unpacked. I'm sorry but I don't have time to help you on teamviewer, let alone download the thing. You'll usually find on internet forums there is a limit to how far some members will intervene to help others, it's not a critisism but a simple fact of life. There may be kind exceptions to this rule though.... wish you luck. |

Hi guys. First of all thank you so much for the huge amount of work that you are actually doing. I'm running Shift 2 v 1.02 with DLC and UCP 1.06 ultimate mod; I tried to make the Ferrari mod work, but it didn't. Can anyone explain step by step what to do?

I would also like to thank everyone on their hard work, the add on is great - thou not perfect.
I downloaded the JSGME version of the mod and it works. But there are some bugs I noticed, the same bugs that have been reported on the first pages of the tread: California taillights don't work. California is the only car that bares year production in it's name - 2011 Ferrari California Superamerica is too fast??? I mean, it can hardly be faster than 599, with less power same weight and much less electronics, it's way faster than 599, has higher PI, handles better and is just a joy to drive. Now, is the problem with 599 or Superamerica, don't know. But it doesn' seem very realistic Superamerica interior gets all blurry. F50GT is a bit too low. The tires are clipping on the arches. FXX tires have no texture Probably there are much more i haven't noticed so here is an idea. Why not posting this JSGME compatibile mod in the Downloads/Shift2/mods section and update it regularly as it's being improved for all us mortals that are not so good with fiddling around actual game files. I've edited default colours for all the Ferraris except California, F50GT and Superamerica (because they're too low quality and I don't use them) so now they look more like Ferrari
Replaced Bentley paintjob colours with Alfa Romeo ones so now the Ferraris have more realistic default colours to choose from |

Try simply to unpack contents of the Ferrari pack to the main game folder right after installing UCP on a fresh game install.I did it this way and have no problems.I think its worth trying out.BTW: on which cars HUD doesn't work for You?

Soooo, yyeah... Apparently the 458 Italia from nfs-game.com overwrites some of the files needed by those cars and the speedometers don't work...
Installing the Ferrari mod AFTER the 458 Italia seems to fix the problem. |
