I could make a drawing if you like, i won't make one for you, i'm sorry, it is a bit too beta to sell.....
The switch costs 10 Euro, metal was scrap leftovers at work, the gear knob was done by a friend of mine,he made it at work.I think if i would ask him to make 10 or 20 more, he'll give me a beer and tell me to wake up...... |

I thought I would post a few shots of my cockpit so far.
I designed and made my wheel some months ago and I am now constructing the Monocoque shell to go over my wheel and seat (which I made from fibreglass to my own shape) The monocoque is made from thin MDF with a fibreglass skin over it, and body filler. It will have beautiful Ferrari red paint when finished. I made the mirrors and they need a few more coats of RED and then the mirror pieces. I hope you like and maybe this will inspire someone to else to build there own cockpit. |

Thanks for the compliment, I bought the "Chicken Beak pointers" from Ebay and made the backing from coloured vinyl with "Letraset" numbers. The actual rotary encoders again I bought off of Ebay from China.
Hope this helps |

Now why would I put up a photo of my WIP after that. I havent got a WIP compared to that ..more like an almost "started". Anything I havent already hidden with black paint may now be in for a blackening! Very sexy...makes mine a farm implement!

@Stigasawus thanks, but I honestly wouldn't compare them to one another, Its a 10/10 for me if it's suits you best
, they are a unique beauty in their own way, and if they fit you and makes your race more comfortable and immersed then it's a 10@Nordschlefen-Heizer, heeheh thanks, that Sub is very very old funny thing with Logitech stuff ,they last more than 10 years already |

Yeah but that has more chance in a beauty contest than mine, which is still evolving.
Maybe my next (from scratch) will have a chance, if I ever find the time to put the collection of bits together. |

Fairly small update, moved the room around, brought the monitors in a bit tighter (after filing down the arms to allow me to do so) and painted the shifter thing.
I really should get around to replacing that wood on the back of the seat, LOL ![]() http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-c...3-IMG_1555.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-c...3-IMG_1556.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-c...3-IMG_1557.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-c...3-IMG_1559.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-c...3-IMG_1560.jpg (sorry for the quality, I should get the real camera out, but I'm really lazy.)

OK, today I picked the metal parts I had ordered to invert mount my CSPedals, so here we go with some pics of the result
(Excuse for the chaos in my man's cave, I just barely could kick the pigs, spiders and coakroches out if it to make the pictures )Here's the pedals mounted in the metals, and bolted into the Gamepod: ![]() The whole thing has several holes spaced to provide adjustability in distance to the seat and heigth. ![]() This is how it looks like with the MOMO 28cm for GT and open wheel racing: ![]() ![]() And here's how it looks with my Grant Winston Cup wheel, 14 inches, for NASCAR racing ![]() ![]() Still need to do some work with the pedals and fit the CSP tuning kit goodies to my liking, but overall it feels great! I'll eventually get rid of the green eyed monster looking at everyones rigs but that'll need to wait until I find a house bigger than a broom cupboard. |

lol Don't you believe it!
The side monitors were getting thrown out @ my work (High School IT Department) so I quietly did the "retirement process" for them. With the bosses approval of course! The middle one I've had kicking around for ages. The G27 was a treat for myself to upgrade from a DFP and the whole shebang sits on a £20 Ikea computer desk with some planks shoved across it.The rig is so small that the side monitors are perched precariously on the edges and have fallen over more than once. ![]() The XBox is another story. Mouthy kid ("CoD" style if you see what I mean) selling it and a full Steel Battalion setup at a local car boot sale. The self proclaimed "Gaming Expert" didn't know what He was selling and let me away with the lot for £10! I didn't hang around to let him realise his mistake... ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaiHZcr1BJ0 |

Good lord £10?!?!
Although personally it all looks a bit too much for me <.>Current status; ![]() ![]() ![]() The lack of bezel compensation doesn't really bother me that much, although I have tried putting the side screens just behind the main one, to try and compensate a little bit. Driving position isn't ideal, as the seat works kinda well, but the pedals don't go far enough back. I get used to it though. Keeping it in the family, wheel courtesy of our very own Altrezia, and the SST from the wonderful Petrolmania! Infact, every ffb wheel I've bought has been sourced via this site... :3 |

Just finished my mock up for my simulator rig, turned out pretty good.
$50 in timber $40 in hardware (bolts, screws, wheels, carpet) $50 for an MX-5 seat $50 for the paint and polyurethane couple of weekends and you've got an awesome and very very sturdy rig. here's the pics: Album: http://imgur.com/a/V7CEL#0 Before painting: ![]() After putting the carpet in, cable stays, painting, and varnishing:

That is a sweet piece of work, max. I think I need a cigarette now.
![]() Are those 27" monitors (Asus brand if my old eyes are correct) in the triple head mount? Did you fabricate the monitor mounts too, or fit a ready made triple-head mount to your frame? Thanks for posting, Derek |

Thx mudpuppy. The mons are 24's. The mon stands were made by me out of 100mm x 25mm billet alloy. I didn't like what was available on the market for 3 screens so I made my own. Side mons have ±10° & ±10mm travel.
IMO a 3 mon setup changes so much. You have to actually turn your head left and right like you do in a real car. Now I need the g25-csr-e wheel/pedal adaptor and the frex handbrake to roll up so I can finish it off & get down to a few months of hardcore testing with rf2. |
