This mod working for me, but on car lot reads missing string for ferrari cars, and J cant buy them. By the way cars are ok in race.

EDIT- sorry my mistake , this is in shift 1. J will try this one for shift 2.

With the game unpacked, became very slow in menus. His anyway to solv this..??
By do way, Ferrari 358 Italia is not in this mod??

Once you unpacked the game, everything is a bit slower at start.

If you are looking for the 458 Italia, it is not in this pack. This pack consists of cars ported from SHIFT 1 Ferrari DLC only.

How difficult do you guys think it will be to convert the cars from Ferrari Racing Legends to Shift? ;]
It's not exactly the same engine (that is being transformed into pCARS), but so are Forzas...

I tried having both FERRARI_SA_WIN_DIFFUSE.dds and FERRARI_575WINSCREN_DIFFUSE.dds file, it will make both side of the glass clear but my game seems to be running on lower FPS.

Is it possible to put in a speedometer in Ferrari FXX's cockpit view ?

There's only a rev meter and gear indicator, as seen in the print screen.
There enough space for it, replacing the useless writing for fuel, oil press., etc

I fully appreciate this mod....but it's old and people are still finding queries with it.... I find each and everyone of the cars here perfectly fine with the fixes provided in this thread itself....I think we should work on expanding th ferrari lot, Lamborghini mods have gotten a huge majority of them....However ferrari is missing quite a few...we need a good Enzo mod, f12 berlinetta and some of the older ferraris, which we are sorely lacking.

Again, I'm not whining. I love the fact that bregel worked hard to give us these and I fully appreciate them. It's just that I think we should be moving onto improving newer mods and cars.....because as far as addon cars go, these are already brilliant.

Default Updating the UCP compatible repack?

To those who are familiar with the current state of the Ferrari add-on:

Is it time to create an updated UCP compatible Ferrari JSGME repack now? Any volunteers?

Whoever ends up taking responsibility for this: You are more than welcome to build it off the version I assembled a while back, as I have no interest in maintaining it -- I'm not really into Ferraris.

there are 2 FERRARI_CAL_LIGHTGLOWS_R_LODA files in the california map one is 6kb big the other _FERRARI_CAL_LIGHTGLOWS_R_LODA is 10kb big delete the first one and rename the last one Just rename without the "_"

F50GT is a bit too low. The tires are clipping on the arches.
- On a track like Laguna Seca I'm unable to use the F599 full potential (feels a bit nose heavy when it shouldn't) . Haven't tried the Superamerica yet.

- It's just the garage, ingame looks more or less normal to me?

I can tell you though that Bregel is working on an enzo mod and we are awaiting it's release....He has fully completed the f12 berlinetta but of course there are legal problems with releasing that car unless I'm mistaken. Can't wait for the releases! I actually get bored when there isn't a new car for me to drive in my garage.

Yes i agree, Can't wait for the releases!

Shift will be better and better with all the new mods, hopefully we can get some new tracks in the future!!!

But pcars looks very promising, en maybe we can do some modding in the future.

Hey ermo

This is feedback not a whinge, I just dl'd the UCP Version & installed as per instructions, but it doesn't seem to have worked for me....
I'm running the latest UCP & the only other mods are Minimod_dinput8.dll via the JSGME & Carsonpoland's reworked cameras mod ver 1.2 installed as per NFO.

I have alternative methods of installing the Ferrari add-on so no worries, I'll figure it out sooner or later but I thought you might like to be aware of it, having said that there are plenty of people that it has worked for.....

Where did people get the UCP v1.0.96 version? If you could please contact whoever uploaded that specific version and let them know that it is deprecated, that would be great.

Does anyone find F50 GT's engine a bit weird? The car has enormously huge acceleration and when set to automatic, the car gets to a point where the gear should shift to higher, and it doesn't at least for a few seconds. You can hear the engine going VIN VIN VIN VIN, like its going to die, and then the car shifts to next gear. This happens on all gears.

Also I'm having render problems with the same car, when setting damage to visual or full. This happens only when I turn on cockpit view or hood cam. Some rendering issues occur when the model is changed due to crashing, and I see triangular planes going from my car into the sky. The more I crash the car the more serious this becomes. I'll take some screenshots.

I noticed this when i was using my F430 Challenge with works installed. It did it without the works but it was far worse with it. It never lost speed (It actually continued to gain speed while bouncing off the limiter). I don't know what is causing it, but if anyone knows how to fix it I would appreciate it.

I have recorded the issue. Can anyone help? During 4th,5th,6th gears the car wont change gears on itself, even though its on automatic. I have to hit the up-gear button to transmit.

Also when I damage the car, the render gets messed up if you ride from cockpit view or hood view. it just looks like some planes are shooting from the car into the sky.

Well ...the sound can be changed in the car folder .csd file

<prop name="EngineFrequencyMultiplier" data="1.0" />
<prop name="EngineRevRangeMultiplier" data="1.0" />

Higher means the sound is more stretched so the sound doesn't run into the rev limiter sound too early. Maybe try 1.01 or something.






Automatic Upshift is prevented when there is not enough traction. Maybe increase rear downforce - or maybe the car should even be put onto GT1 tires and not GT2?

Actually controlling upshift is in car .cdf file under [CONTROL]

UpshiftAlgorithm=(0.97,0.0) // percentage of the rev limit to upshift at.  If the 2nd value is non-zero, then we will use it as the exact RPM to upshift at.

Former is self explanatory (and explained after the //'s ) the latter means lower up to zero prevents upshift, negative values kinda disable auto upshift. 0.1 or 0.2 should work however as I said if it just don't work on that one specific car, I think is has some minor physics issues. Perhaps we should 'just' UCP it??

just wanted to say thanks for this ferrari pack! I haven't played S2U for more than half a year and just finally decided to install UCP and this ferrari mod + the 458(my fav). Everything works decently well, tweaked a few things here and there. I haven't tried those troublesome cars like superamerica/f50gt/california yet.
