Default Jaguar D-Type Update for GT Legends by DonPanoz

Sometimes it is usefull to make an update to fix some problems or make things better. This update inkludes:

1. New tyres,
2. New physics,
4. Proper Fuel tank capacities,
5. Proper formatting of some textures, some where reduced,
6. Better performance and faster loading in the game,
7. correct instrument readings, new HUDs optimized for 16:9, by using 4:3 might be a little different.

Great update! The cars are not so tail-happy and are much more controllable in a drift. Either that or I am getting better at driving them!

A question : is it ever possible to change the helmet (it was possible in the version 1) and if "yes", how ?

The method should be the same; rename your preferred helmet.dds to the name of the driver. It has to be exactly the same as the name in the .car. If there are more drivers e.g. Driver1, Driver2. The helmet name MUST correspond to the name for Driver1.

So, in the .car file: Driver=John Smit
Helmet file has to be named: John Smit_Helmet.dds

Hope this helps

Hi Don,
Thanks for the updates.
I am having problem with the Maserati. The Tach needle does not
show. Hoping you are working on an update for both versions.
Cheers,
Ivan

Oh sorry, but the Maserati is from Team21. Just call Cooky about that problem or write in the thread of that mod.

As this only happened to you, I can just guess, that something went wrong with the first process of the update-installation at these two. Try it another time just with these two ones and, if there is no sound as well again, replace the new AUD-files with the ones of V1.0. Weired though anyway...

Sometimes this happens to me in the cockpit view, don't know why. Happened on Win XP 32 bits and Win 7 64 bits, with different cars and tracks.

Found 2 ways to solve it:
1) exit the game and start it again (sometimes it works, sometimes not);

2) exit the game. With notepad, open your [playername].plr file (located on GTL/UserData/[playername] folder). Find the line "Show Dials in Cockpit".
Make sure it has the value "1" in front of it [the line should be: Show Dials in Cockpit="1"]. Save the [playername].plr file. Start the game.

Hope it helps.
