![]() Round seven of the North American GT1 championship will be contested this evening at 9pm eastern from the Dubai Circuit in the United Arab Emerites. Last week, Thiago Canola put together a stellar performance at Valencia notching his second win of the season, and in doing so, moving himself up to second in the championship standings. Eiran Parsons remains on top of the leader board after a solid second place finish last week. Brad Merys and Andres Prieto of AnGer Racing continue to lead in the team championship where they currently hold a nineteen point advantage over the second place team of Suderia SC comprised of Thiago Canola and John Sportelli. Nick Johnston put in an amazing drive after starting from the back of the grid and finishing seventh in a fill in role for Scuderia SC where he substituted for the absent Sportelli.
