These instructions are from the Bible Modding tutorial:

MoTeC Usage (Analogue/Digital gauges)

The MoTeC digital display is quite easy to get working in GTR2

The steps to setting it up are as follows:
-find an original MoTeC that you like/prefer, load up in Zmod, postion where you need it, export. Once that is done, you need to hex-edit the material properties. You must have it named according to the manufacturer name in your .CAR file. I.E if it says Manufacture="MyCar" then your motec mesh would be named MyCar_Motec.gmt. That also must be the name of the .CAS file entry. and Finally you have to have all the associated textures for the motec in the MyCar_Cpit.GTR

In the .Car file, there are some entries you will need to change, these look like this (this will be specific (in a limited way) to each motec display, you should find and use these lines, from the car the motec is originally from (in the .car file)) -

DigitalDisplays=1
Display1Instance=MOTEC
Display1ModesPos=(10,0)
Display1RPMLights=6
Display1RPMLightsRange=(5500,7500)
Display1GearParams=LARGE,CENTER
Display1GearPos=(95,57)
Display1FuelHeadingParams=LARGE,LEFT
Display1FuelHeadingPos=(145,18)
Display1FuelParams=LARGE,LEFT
Display1FuelPos=(145,18)
Display1SpeedHeadingParams=LARGE,RIGHT
Display1SpeedHeadingPos=(500,76)
Display1SpeedParams=LARGE,RIGHT
Display1SpeedPos=(484,18)
Display1LapTimeHeadingParams=LARGE,RIGHT
Display1LapTimeHeadingPos=(330,140)
Display1LapTImeParams=LARGE,RIGHT
Display1LapTimePos=(464,100)

Thanks, I will try to get it work. For the moment I have only put a mock texture on the wheel.

Thanks. The modified "old" car is still running today. It would not take much to transform the model into a Z11S.

Here is a slightly different wheel and switch panel as used by Epsilon-Barazi.

I tried to add one, but only to confirm what others have seen before me: the GTR2 driving animation does not work well with a wheel perpendicular to the ground plane.

Btw the sounds are not mine but SCC's V10 Judd. Actually I did not pay attention to it until now. Next time I'll use the SCC Zytek.

The vision of the arms in the cockpit always gives a little more immersiveness in the game.
But okay, the work is excellent, and this small detail does not affect its quality.
Greetings.

Hmm, if the arms don't fit I prefer to edit them out. (R15 for example) No arms are better than non-fitting arms. In terms of immersion I mean. But that's a matter of taste I guess.

Other than that; outf***ingstanding work, LeSunTzu!!

Here is the Le Mans aero:

All aero variations are in game now and skinnable. I will finish some details (mainly the last Ginetta-Zytek switch panel) before holidays and add LODS when back. Phrantic, if you have some time for skinning now, let me know in the next days. Otherwise it will have to wait after 20 August.

If you can do please do the rest of the variations of the car till today on that model, so we have a free scratch made model of this car in full effect. Thanks alot for your work so far, it looks stunning and we can't wait to drive it.

@LeSunTzu: Now as I started to paint the 07032LM I have to express my deepest admiration. You did some awesome work man. To me the Zytek model looks pretty much like an entirely new scratchmade car. And all the different bodystyles you added. Just great. I'd say in one league with alless, GMT & Co. Thx a lot m8!

@Dave: I know, I didn't fulfill my promise. But some other things came up over last weekend. Anyways, the new model rocks! Not these annoying distortions allover the body anymore.

Some wip shot:

Well, the decision was easier than I thought. The livery on the #48 is matched to the Laguna Seca car, so our P1 Zytek will have the ZJ458 4.5L V8 to match the Laguna raced car.

Humpfester deleted all my Zytek pix from my gallery. "Ignoring gallery rules... unallowed conversions... and so on..."
Lol?! He even deleted the pix of the old SCC models...

That is a strange way to compliment hours of work to create a car from scratch. And the hours that you spent on skinning.

That speaks volumes about how this site is run. Some nice guy hits the report button, some kapo hits the delete button. No prior explanation asked, the only checking done is whether you are part of the buddies.

Exactly... Sad thing.

But I replied immediately. I doubt he'll respond. But if he responds, I'm very curious what his explanation will be...
Wonder who the nice report-button-guy is. Does he have the b***s to get in touch with me/us? Or is it just another incapable and jealous kid?

I go and post some more pix now... With a proper explanation, bigger than the previous one...

EDIT: I can't. I don't have the permission to upload anything anymore. WTF is goin' on with you Mr. Humpfester???

EDIT 2: Thus I shall use another way:

I changed Karim Ojjeh's flag like you said. Thx for that hint!

I'm not sure what you mean, but well, LeSunTzu made 5 different bodyversions. And he added all the different parts used by the many Zytek teams in the years 2007 & 2008. So all '07 & '08 ALMS, LMS & LM cars can be made correctly on one model.
Awesome, innit?!

I hope this is the answer you aimed for...

This is a 2010-2011 09S, which is an evolution of the 07S. The main difference is the rear wing: its width was reduced from 200 cm to 160 cm in 2009. You can also see the swan neck wing mounting, which was introduced in 2010, and the side vanes on each side of the pontoon for legality purposes (it covers a large hole for front wheel air flow).

I have not made this one. I plan to make it.

As I don't have Grid or the Grid model I checked a couple of showroom screenies posted by the Grid mod guys. I don't think it is hard to see it is a different modelling, with a lower poly budget and different (ie professional) poly flow. I have posted a wireframe render above in this thread. When I am back from vacation, I'll post others and upload somewhere all the 3ds Max scenes that I saved along the way (more than 100), so that anyone with max 2008 and hours to waste can check that my modeling is 100% original.

Well, I believe and know that. But the admins are blind. At least Humpfester. Wonder if he'll pop in and says something. At least he could pm you or so. The fact is: We are right and he is wrong. Basta. An apology would be the minimum he should do. Blaming us for some infractions we never did... With absolutely no glimpse of knowledge as it seems. Heck, he deleted the pix of my Barazi skins done on the old SCC model! Which is available here... My dear, what does he think who he is?? Aren't the modders & skinners & editors and so on the ones who made this site the biggest in business? Why does he bite the feeding hands?
I for myself would appreciate some statement.

I know, I'm not that important that someone would care about it. But if I get no response I'll be done with NG.

Rant over. Sorry guys! But that had to be said.

Outrageous stuff, but guys keep it up! For me personally LeSunTzu doesn't have to prove anything for showing his work from the start as I know some of his work.
Sometimes I respect the guys that keep giving us stuff for free on these forums where others discredit them.. (I stopped for other reasons) But we need to be more polite to each other, there should be some kiddo or jealous idiot behind this making false accusations...

Mhm, I hear you, kingkai.

I am and have never been unpolite/ uncorrect to anyone here. But that just blew me up.

How can it be that the fruits of especially LeSunTzu and the rest of the renewed team are being "complimented" with: "F*** off! This is not allowed here!"?? Will they delete the SCC v2.41 now? Would just be consequent...
I wonder how an admin can be so arrogant... Sad.

In such situations I totally understand the great modders who left NG.

But thx for the heads up m8!

You really don't need 3DSmax to evaluate the similarity. You can just look at skin files for the cars because no two modellers will ever map the same car the same way. I am sure it is possible but the chances are extremely remote and I have never seen it happen in my 15 years of messing around with racing games.

Regardless, these are very nice looking models and skins !
