The team racing stuff sounds really promising.. I am wondering how to get into the social aspect of the racing a bit more, teams, leagues etc..
Does anyone have any idea which BMWs we might see? I would imagine the M3 GT2 car that races in ALMS would be one. |

My guess would be either a car to dovetail in with the ALMS based series, or one to go with the Honda touring car already in the pipeline. |

It would be pretty cool to run a big mixed class race with the prototypes, the Ford GT, the C6R, the Ruf R12 (pretty much a GT3 RSR isn't it?), BMW M3 GT2... Not sure why the Caddy can't run with them either, maybe a licensing thing.

The Ruf is a turbo, so I'm not sure that you could equate it with a GT3 RSR. The Caddy is part of a special deal between iRacing and Cadillac, so officially it has to run it's own series for now. Hosted sessions are another thing entirely, though. |

Lots of nice news, there. I like it when the devs (or loose-lips Gardner) take the time to give us these kinds of news.

I like the analogy on moving to 64bit and DX11 as rebuilding the house including wiring and plumbing whilst the residents still lived there and were not to notice the work going on around them!

Yeah, but careful not to electrocute people in the process...or wreck the furniture and tapestry with a sudden and massive leak...

Exactly, I thought it at least demonstrated an understanding of the difficulties and dangers involved, whilst at the same time giving the members an insight into the difficulties involved in doing it.
