Hi Nappe! I saw this version, I tested the Mini number 6. One gearbox with 5 gears always faster, than 4 gears, but these gear ratios don't like for me. This is the classic gear ratio (I made with Commodore, I think it's ok) GTL 2012-08-20 13-48-38-15.jpg And here are the two best from Mini 5 gears ratio: GTL 2012-08-20 13-51-46-25.jpg GTL 2012-08-20 13-55-23-64.jpg The second version is normal, but this is the longest final ratio, and the top speed not enought on Spa, and on Monza. Please help me, if You know, may be I made wrong something. |

Zsoca: you did exactly right.
I never thought that there would be that kind of combination of ratios. (technically, your ratio selection is impossible in real world, but that's due simplified gearbox setup in GTL and so same to all cars in game with adjustable ratios. Not your error.)I'll look if I find some more final gears. There's at least possibility to simulate longer input gears which could help tiny bit. I will post another set of gearbox files to testing tonight. |

Still for Mini Drivers only.
Unfortunately, I was only able to make just one longer final ratio, by having overdriven drop gears. If this is not enough, we'll need look to some other sollutions. Updated beta gearbox in attachment, install same way as the previous one and test with the #6 Mini EDIT: in quick testing, It seems to be long enough for Spa (getting a bit restless in over 130mph ) with zsoca's ratios, but probably for Monza you'll need to setup ratios so that fifth is 100/100

by the way,
Will we use the original GTL Spa, or perhaps the new one, which has starting grid and pits in where F1 cars are? http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=35736 |

yes we will use the new SpaETCC by derDumeklemmer. Thought first it's the new layout, but it's a mix with the old "Bus-Stop" layout, the new (2010) pits and the S/F line before the hairpin down to Eau-Rouge. I think a great idea and no chance to cut the old pit out straight on the race track. Funny first corner* now after the lights switching from red to green... regards Matra-Rancho *high crash potential

Mini KAD Works v2.21 is here.
Here ya go: http://maailmantuska.mooo.com/~nappe...o221update.zip - Extract to "GAMEDATA\TEAMS\GTC-TC-76\Mini Cooper S KAD Works" folder and overwrite existing files. ![]() This version is available only as update and you can apply this update from v2.1 and v2.2. (only difference to 2.2 is one line of text in #40 car file, so I am not going to upload whole 96MB package again for such small modification.) In possible future newer versions, thios modification is included in full download as well. This is for now the version everyone should have for the championship. |

Hi,
that was great - 27 starters after 4 weeks of Summer-Break I have to say Thanks to all drivers. Caused by some "first corners trouble" this was a lonely race for me. Except the laps chased by Woody - that was great fun. Seems we both had different gear ratio settings. Mine was a bit better on the straights ![]() Next week we meet us in Monza... regards Matra-Rancho |

Also it looks like we didn't lose as much people as usual during the summer break, which is nice. |

As there was this controversy about some people cutting too much without being penalized and as the track conversion god was too busy, I decided to learn how the cut track stuff is defined in track files. Took me about 3 hours and now I have a lot more strictier Monza as beta 1. As I have never done such thing before, I am waiting some tips from DerDumeKlemm... erm, I mean the track conversion god
so that I won't be screwing up my GTL install, nor releasing anything that might cause any troubles, so you have to wait for a moment before start laying down some rubber on this version. But nevertheless, something is on it's way.

Just wanted to say sorry to rob69 if you think that Iwas not a gentleman, but I thought it was not my fault, that you left the track left when I passed you there was still enough space or you could have lift the gas pedal to avoid any damage or driving into the green.
Thought about waiting for you but was not sure, so kept infront, then youstruggled a curve later with somebody else in contact or the sand. I will watch the replay.. Bytheway,I enjoyed the race again, Pos 22 is not good but Monza is coming, life goes on

Hi,
and again some F1-VRC-2012 News: * new skin for Driver: Jegger -> click * Fuel problem with the Merc and the Alfa in Monza. Could only do 14 laps with a full tank in the Merc. With 28 laps the race is to short (~59min.). We need 34 laps for a ~70min. race. So I was thinking about this: - We all have to pit twice and taking fuel is mandatory (tyres change only if you want). - First pit-stop between end of lap 9 and end of lap 15 - Second pit-stop between end of lap 19 and end of lap 25 In all other laps the pits are open only for S&G penalty or repair, but not for taking fuel. regards Matra-Rancho |

The Mini worked very well in Spa with the 5 gears ratio box. Big thanks Nappe! My race speed was good, but my start was horrible again. In first straight I lost six positions.( I'd like one Mini with KAD engine, and 4 wheel drive

Or we could make a small temporary alteration to it's HDC file? But I don't if you want to go down that route.

If illegal engine mods are allowed, I will supercharge the KAD engine, resulting 263bhp monster. (again, existing real life car is provided to prove that it is possible.) As my two cents, result of two mandatory pitstops sounds first as good sollution but eventually it most likely won't have much of difference for the cars which have longest running capacities. While having two stops needs more time, the cars like Opel and Porsche will need to fill just few liters in one of the stops, resulting less than stop and go pitstop time, while Mercedes and Alfa needs filling time of almost full tank in both pitstops. So I highly doubt this making much of a difference. However, If organizers rule the race as this way, then it will be so. Zsoca: can't make four wheel drive to happen, sorry. (there's no such thing in real life.) However front brakes might be updated later on from original Cooper S 7.5 inch two caliber discs to KAD's 7.9 inch (biggest which fits to 10" rim) four caliber discs. That should improve the stopping power quite lot. EDIT: about the GTAm; the update has been submitted to brickyard forums in 6th of March. I once more asked if the update could be released here as soon as possible. (third time already) Last edited by Nappe1; 1 September 12 at 18:16. |

hmm was not sure about this, because I thought it makes no sense to start with a heavy full tank (=23 laps) Opel when you have to go only a max. of 15 laps. The Alfa & the Merc didn't need a full tank for every stint. Can the Mini do 17 lpas on a full tank in Monza? The hdc-file changing is also a good idea, but only changes for the fuel consumption - nothing else. So we need for the Merc and the Alfa (& Mini?) 17 laps with full tank in Monza. regards Matra-Rancho |

Alfa GTAm just got the long waited update. As seperate patch though...
http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=36406 I have no clue how much the 20 more litres in fuel tank will help. EDIT: Matra, I have no idea how much Mini can do. Never been exactly interested about the stint lenghts, as I have been forced to live with the tyres. (they get usually too worn out before I ran out of fuel.) I can check it tomorrow. |

technically the fuel consumption has been interpolated from original Mini with correlation to new displacement. of course KAD revs a lot higher and you tend to keep the revs high, so it is even more thirsty than just due bigger bore and stroke. (so, to save some fuel, driver might want to choose longer ratios for Monza, to have lower rpm in high speed straights.) fuel tank again is the biggest safety tank I could find with 2 days searching for Classic Mini still keeping the tank in the boot compartment. 65 litre version is so big that it will fill the spare wheel well as well, so I doubt much bigger being available anywhere. (of course if someone finds bigger safety racing tank that fits to Classic Mini's boot, I am more than happy to update the car use it. )

Hi Nappe,
had a little test race in Monza-NoCut with 36 cars over 7 laps and no probs. My pit-stop worked also. Cut warnings are working fine Alfa-Update is available now, so we need only some more fuel for the Merc & Mini. Would be great if we can have this today, so I can add these things to the invitation post. regards Matra-Rancho |

able to make the Merc with bigger fuel tank happen, we need brand new Merc skin with non-existant number for the Kimi. alternative physics files needs to be mapped to new skin, so that no version mismatches happens with the original car and it's files. Can someone make this happen, so that I only need to look for the physics?
I am searching again bigger safety fuel tank which could fit in Mini's boot. anyone knows the exact measuments of real mini boot? for the merc it has huge trunk, so something standard american muscle safety tank fits in nicely in it. EDIT: in march Kimi asked me to make him a new skin, with black car and red rims, but I was too busy back then. EDIT2: Skin already done, see three posts forward.
